Gearing is one of the most critical components in mechanical power transmission systems.. This paper explains about the comparison of the geometry of spur gears for two different modules by modeling and mathematical equations, load distribution at various positions of the contact line and the stress analysis of spur gears using three-dimensional finite element method. The bending stresses were examined using three-dimensional finite element model.. These stresses of different modules obtained from the finite element analysis were compared and the considerable reduction of weight occurred was found and also the values are compared with the theoretical values. Both results agree very well. This indicates that the finite element method model is accurate.

A numerical method is described for computing tyre vibrations over a large frequency range. It is based on a recursive finite element method for building the dynamic stiffness matrix of a complete tyre from the knowledge of a finite element model of a small part of the structure. The present method is compared to full three-dimensional finite element solutions showing a perfect agreement for low frequencies. However, this method allows computations for medium and high frequencies which are needed for the analysis of noise generated by a tyre. The influence of various parameters on the frequency response functions like the positions where the responses are computed, the mechanical parameters of the tyre or the internal air-pressure are described.

Abstract The effects of variations in stiffness and geometry on the nonuniformity of tires are investigated by using the finite element analysis. In order to evaluate tire uniformity, a three-dimensional finite element model of the tire with imperfections is developed. This paper considers how imperfections, such as variations in stiffness or geometry and run-out, contribute to detrimental effects on tire nonuniformity. It is found that the radial force variation of a tire with imperfections depends strongly on the geometrical variations of the tire.

We present the analyses of dynamics behaviors on a stroller wheel by three dimensional finite element method. The vibration of the wheel system causes by two different type barriers on the road as an experiment design to mimic the real road conditions. In addition to experiment analysis, we use two different packages to numerically simulate the wheel system dynamics activities. Some of the simulation results have good agreement with the experimental data in this research. Other interesting data will be measured and analyzed by us for future study and we will investigate them by using adaptive finite element method for increasing the precision of the computation results.
