AbstractTwo new species belonging to the genus Anastrepha, A. mayasp. nov. and A. relictasp. nov., are described. These species are noteworthy because they are closely related to A. tripunctata van der Wulp, an endemic Mexican species currently classified in the cryptostrepha species group, which may be the basal lineage of the genus. These new species come from several tropical Mexican localities and share several taxonomic characters found only in A. tripunctata. The eight known species of the cryptostrepha group are keyed, and a discussion of the phylogenetic relationships between this group and other species groups of Anastrepha is presented.

Eutarsopolipus burwelli sp. nov. and E. echinatus sp. nov. (Acari: Podapolipidae) are described from Nurus medius Darlington, 1961 (Coleoptera: Carabidae), a large burrowing carabid beetle found in the rainforests of coastal central Queensland, Australia. Eutarsopolipus burwelli belongs to the ochoai species group, which is herein refined, and E. echinatus is placed tentatively in the pterostichi species group. A revised key to the species groups of Eutarsopolipus is provided. The synhospitalic species of Eutarsopolipus are reviewed and synhospitality within the genus is discussed.

Two new species of the genus Agrisius Walker, 1855, A. orhanti Volynkin, Dubatolov & Kishida, sp. n. and A. leloii Volynkin, Dubatolov & Kishida, sp. n. are described from South Laos and Vietnam respectively. A. orhanti sp. n. belongs to the A. japonicus Leech, 1889 species-group. Whereas, the male genitalia structure of A. leloii sp. n. is intermediate between those of the A. japonicus and the A. guttivitta Walker, 1855 species-groups, therefore, it is assigned to a separated species-group (the A. leloii species-group). Agrisius dubatolovi Orhant, 2012 is downgraded as a subspecies of A. japonicus: Agrisius japonicus dubatolovi Orhant, 2012, stat. nov. Female genitalia of species of the A. japonicus and most of the A. guttivitta species-groups are illustrated for the first time.

Two new species of the family Pontellidae, Labidocera kaimanaensis and Pontella papuaensis, are described and illustrated from specimens collected in Arguni Bay, West Papua, Indonesia. L. kaimanaensis belongs to the L. detruncata species-group, is distinguishable from other species of this group by the very elongated Ur1 (urosomite 1) and the asymmetrical P5 in the female and the Pdg5 (pediger 5) and P5 in the male. P. papuaensis does not belong to any of the known five groups of Indo-West Pacific Pontella, in having Ur1 with a beak-like posterodorsal process and almost symmetrical Re’s (exopods) of P5 in the female, a rostrum with double convex lenses, the chela of the right P5 with a bilobed thumb, and the inner margin of that chela armed with a large process, in the male. The establishment of four new species-sub-groups of L. detruncata, i.e., L. d.-cervi, L. d.-farrani, L. d.-kaimanaensis, and L. d.-sinilobata, as well as the establishment of a P. papuaensis species-group, are proposed.

We describe two new species of Tropidodipsas related to the T. fasciata species group as defined by Kofron (1987), and provide morphological and molecular data to support the novelty of both species. A partial molecular phylogeny of the Mexican species of snail-eating snakes (Serpentes, Dipsadidae) is presented, and we discuss evolutionary relationships as supported by our molecular results. We analyze specific relationships of the new species described herein with their closest relatives. We present a distribution map for all species of Tropidodipsas and include photographs of living individuals of each species. Finally, we discuss other taxonomic changes based on our molecular phylogeny as well as conservation priorities of the new species.

Pygmy grasshoppers (Tetrigidae) are a speciose group of complicated taxonomy, with many species requiring clarification on their species boundaries, and more still awaiting discovery. Two new species of Scelimena Serville, 1838 are described: (1) from S. discalis species group S. gombakensis sp. nov. and (2) from S. hexodon species group Scelimena marta sp. nov. Catalogue of Scelimenini genera (15) and species (100) is presented and taxonomy and biogeography of the tribe are discussed. New and resurrected combinations are: Falconius becvari (Buzzetti & Devriese, 2008) comb. nov. (of Gavialidium becvari), Gavialidium carli Hebard, 1930 comb. resurr. (of Bidentatettix carli), Indoscelimena india (Hancock, 1907) comb. nov. (of Scelimena india), Paragavialidium nodiferum (Walker, 1871) comb. nov. (of Platygavialidium nodiferum), Platygavialidium productum (Walker, 1871) comb. nov. (of Gavialidium productum), Scelimena hexodon (Haan, 1843) comb. resurr. The genus Bradyporus Charpentier is taxonomically revised using information obtained from numerous recently collected specimens. Bradyporus is divided into two subgenera Bradyporus Charpentier s.str. and Callimenus Fischer von Waldheim. Five species groups are distinguished in the latter subgenus. Sixteen species and subspecies are listed. Bradyporus (Callimenus) multituberculatus multituberculatus (Fischer von Waldheim, 1833) and Bradyporus (Callimenus) multituberculatus montandoni (Burr, 1898) are designated subspecies for the first time. Previously synonymized Bradyporus (Callimenus) macrogaster skopjensis Karaman, 1961 is reinstated as a valid species. A new species, Bradyporus (Callimenus) gocmeni Ünal, sp. nov. from Eastern Turkey and the previously unknown female of Bradyporus (Callimenus) skopjensis Karaman, 1961 are described. A Neotype for Bradyporus (Callimenus) macrogaster longicollis (Fieber, 1853) is designated. Nomenclatural and taxonomical problems are discussed under the relevant taxa. Phylogenetic relationships based on morphology of the subgenera, species groups, and the species and subspecies of each species group are proposed. Morphological derived and ancestral characters are discussed. A key to the lower taxa of the genus is provided with 207 original figures including 3 distributional maps. A check-list of the lower taxa of the genus is given. Additionally the IUCN Red List statuses of the species and subspecies are included.

The pini species group in the genus Typhlodromus Scheuten, which includes 10 species, is described and discussed. Two new species are proposed: Typhlodromus bisoni, which was identified as T. pini previously, and Typhlodromus mahri. The generic concepts of various authors concerning the species in the pini group are discussed and a key to and descriptions of the adult females of the group are given.

Abstract Two new species of the genus Anthaxia Eschscholtz, 1829 are described: A. (Haplanthaxia) phobos sp. nov. (Thailand) and A. (H.) deimos sp. nov. (China, Laos, Thailand). Anthaxia (H.) phobos species-group is defined and a review of all the currently defined species-groups in the subgenus Haplanthaxia Reitter, 1911 is provided. New species are illustrated and the newly defined species-group is differentiated from previously defined groups.

Three new species of rhagidiid mites, Rhagidia breviseta, n.sp., R. parvilobata n.sp., and R. distisolenidiata n.sp., from the Nearctic region are described. Their interspecific relationships are discussed and two new species-groups, gigas and quadrisolenidiata, are defined.

The genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805 is composed of 21 species-groups and the P. yichengicus species-group contains 35 species from central and southern China, and Thailand. In this study, two new species of the P. yichengicus species-group are described from southern China: Pholcus jingnan Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guizhou, male and female) and Pholcus longlin Yao & Li sp. nov. (Guangxi, male and female).
