Chorea may occur as a neurological manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus and is often associated with detection of antiphospholipid antibodies. No evidence of chorea as a sign of lupus activity has been established. We describe a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus associated with antiphospholipid antibodies who developed chorea, which has been considered a sign of lupus activity.

Lightning strike can have wide range of physical and neuropsychiatric symptoms. Burn, extensive tissue damages, cardiac rhythm disturbances and secondary injuries are well described and observed. The patient may also go through transient neurological symptoms, which may go unseen in some cases while in some cases it may get extra attention and series of investigations. Keraunoparalysis is one of the immediate neurological complications encountered after lightning strike. This manifests as transient self-limiting symptoms.

Spinal cord neurological disorders associated with Hashimotos disease are rare and very rarely described.Thediagnosis is based on a set of arguments with the performance of an exhaustive assessment in order to eliminate other possible causes of medullary neurological damage. In this case, we report a 21 years old man, who was admitted for a spinal cord syndrome with D12-L1 sensory level and was diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis associated with Hashimotos thyroiditis. The evolution was favorable with regression of the symptomatology after bolus of corticoids followed by oral corticotherapy.

Joubert syndrome is a rare neurological manifestation usually present in late infancy or early childhood with characteristic episodes of abnormal breathing pattern along with the neurological and other systemic involvement. We report a case of confirmed Joubert syndrome present in the immediate neonatal period with isolated spells of oxygen desaturations not accompanied by the classically described breathing pattern and absent neurological symptoms causing delay in the diagnosis. Isolated oxygen desaturation episodes could be a presenting manifestation of Joubert syndrome in a neonatal period.
