The present paper presents a study of square-section tubes conditioned to a FE dynamic frontal impact analysis, considering a 10.0 m/s initial velocity against an infinitely rigid plane. A 50.0 kg punctual mass is positioned on center of the cross-sections, on the farthest side from the rigid plane and the deceleration pulse is measured along the simulations. After validating the numerical model with analytical solutions, the results are compared for four geometries with little structural differences in order to access the role of each difference on the geometry under crash situations. The results show that adding many triggers to the geometry may not be the best performance solution for crash boxes, since the geometry with few triggers achieved better values of deceleration peak than the others. In addition, the presence of holes showed to be an instability cause to the system. The structural solutions presented could be of great value for future vehicle crash box developments.

Connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technologies and services are rapidly developing and have the potential to revolutionise the transport systems. However, like many innovations, the uptake pathways are uncertain. The focus of this article is on improving understanding of factors that may affect the uptake of highly and fully automated vehicles, with a particular interest in the role of the internet of things (IoT). Using system dynamic modelling, sensitivity testing towards vehicle attributes (e.g., comfort, safety, familiarity) is carried out and scenarios were developed to explore how CAV uptake can vary under different conditions based around the quality of IoT provision. Utility and poor IoT are found to have the biggest influence. Attention is then given to CAV ‘services' that are characterized by the attributes explored earlier in the paper, and it is found that they could contribute to a 20% increase in market share.

Introduction: This study aims to explore the attitudes towards riding safety, behavior regarding safety gear, documents, and vehicle and riding preparedness, and perceived road conditions among worker and student motorcyclists, and the influence of these on their violation behavior. Methods: To further explore the violation behavior, the effects of the infrastructure quality, personal and travel characteristics, and the experience of accidents were also included in the variables. This study collected data on motorcycle users’ behavior in Bandung City and used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results and Discussion: This research underlines that behavior regarding safety gear, documents, and vehicle and riding preparedness is an important factor that decreases the violation behavior. Interestingly, a positive attitude towards safe riding does not straightforwardly lead to better behavior in preparing the vehicle, safety gear, and documents. Conclusion: Good quality infrastructure also promotes a reduction of traffic violations. Improving road infrastructure safety and both promoting and monitoring users’ safe riding behavior are suggested to lower the number of traffic violations.

A smart helmet is a kind of defensive headgear utilized by the rider which makes bike driving more secure than previously. The principle reason for this keen protective cap to give well being to rider. Here I proposed a work which is endeavor to plan a propelled vehicle’s security framework which utilizes GSM to avert burglary and to decide the area of vehicles. Now a daysburglary is going on the stopping or in some shaky spots. The wellbeing of the vehicles is incredibly fundamental. The point of the vehicles security framework is used to utilizes the remote communication innovatively for the car situations. The principle focal point of this undertaking is to ensure the stealing of vehicle. This is finished with the assistance of GSM modem and circuit which comprises of ARM 7 TDMI microcontroller, transfer and venture down transformer. The framework will be enacted simply in the wake of wearing the head protector or else the client can't ready to get to the vehicle. To achieve Automated Vehicle Location our system uses to transmit the area data continuously, Active systems are produced. Progressing vehicular after system joins a gear device introduced in the vehicle and a remote Tracking servers. The infowas conveyed to Tracking server utilizing GSM/GPRS modem on GSM mastermind by using SMS or utilized direct TCP/IP association with Tracking servers thruGPRS. Following servers in like way has GSM/GPRS modem that gets vehicle region data by techniques for GSM system and stores info into databases. This info is available to embraced clients of the systems by techniques for sites over the web.
