Color has a crucial impact on students’ perception. It encourages the learning atmosphere to be affiliated with the anticipated learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of contextual colors on student’s perception of interior spaces and to validate previous related studies that emphasize on colors as a media to convey meanings that affect behaviors and students’ perception as well. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to determine and validate previous related studies regarding the impact of background color on student’s perception. Meanwhile the study evaluates the previous relevant models in order to validate or reject previous assumptions. The study concentrates on quantitative survey method using in depth questionnaire to determine student’s perception at UHDUniversity of Human Development, Sulaimani. Seven Colors from Munsell color system (yellow, green, blue, purple, white, and black, grey) are applied in the test in order to indicate the students’ perceptual status. The results show that cool colors like white, green and blue are mostly recommended for educational spaces. These colors affected positively the perception of respondents and add feeling of hope, curiosity and satisfaction to the group. In contrast dark colors (black and grey) are indicated as colors of worry and fear. The findings demonstrate that environments colors play an important effect on student’s perception. The study concluded that colors affect the behavior, performance and mood of the space users.

Crossbreeding with Duroc breed allows to improve meat quality, but no data is available regarding specific influence of Duroc breed on characteristics of meat in the case of crossbreeding with various breeds. The aim of the present research was to evaluate the effect of crossbreeding Polish Landrace dames with Duroc sires on quality features of meat in reference to Polish Landrace breed. The objects of the study were Longissimus dorsi lumborum pork muscles obtained from Polish Landrace breed and Polish Landrace x Duroc crossbreed animals. Sarcomere length measurements were conducted using microscopic method and basic chemical composition measurement was analyzed using spectrophotometric scanning. Texture analysis of meat samples, performed after thermal treatment was expressed by Warner-Bratzler shear force and color analysis was obtained using CIE L*a*b* color system. No differences in sarcomere length, shear force as well as components of color values between pork meat originated from Polish Landrace breed and Polish Landrace x Duroc crossbreed were observed. Analysis of basic chemical composition revealed higher fat and lower ash contents in the case of meat of Polish Landrace breed animals. It was concluded that the actual impact of breed on meat characteristics is possibly altered by other factors. It may be suggested that influence of basic chemical composition on color of meat is breed-related.

The brand image design of characteristic towns already becomes the way to improve awareness and promote propaganda in many characteristic towns. However, during the brand color system construction of characteristic towns, the differences in natural geography and cultural landscape have resulted in universal differentiation of characteristic towns, but the brand color constructions are very similar and lack scientific basis or differences, and even deviate from the original intention of town brand building. Given the difficulty in the brand color system development of characteristic towns, we proposed a strategy to build the characteristic town brand color system according to the color extraction from regional landscape buildings. With the characteristic Xiaolan Town in Zhongshan City of Guangdong province as example, the features of natural landscape plants and architecture color design were extracted on basis of the comprehensive regional landscapes. The color library for color design was acquired through data analysis, and the colors of historical landscape buildings were integrated with the colors of modern science and technology elements. With the introduction of building graphs, the deep connection between color design and brand visual image was enhanced. This design strategy offers some scientific values and theoretical guidance for exploring the brand color design systems of characteristic towns and for guiding the innovative strategies of designers.
