Spider morph ball pythons are a frequently bred design morph with striking alterations of the skin color pattern. We created high resolution µCT-image series through the otical region of the skulls, used 3D-reconstruction software for rendering anatomical models, and compare the anatomy of the semicircular ducts, sacculus and ampullae of wildtype Python regius (ball python) with spider morph snakes. All spider morph snakes showed the wobble condition. We describe the inner ear structures in wild-type and spider-morph snakes and report a deviant morphology of semicircular canals, ampullae and sacculus in spider morph snakes. We also report about associated differences in the desmal skull bones of spider morph snakes. The spider morph snakes were characterized by wider semicircular canals, anatomically poorly defined ampulla, a deformed crus communis and a small sacculus, with a highly deviant x-ray morphology as compared to wildtype individuals. We observed considerable intra- and interindividual variability of these features. This deviant morphology of spider morph snakes can easily be associated with an impairment of sense of equilibrium and the observed neurological wobble condition. Limitations in sample size prevent statistical analyses, but the anatomical evidence is strong enough to support an association between the wobble condition in design bread spider morph snakes and a malformation of the inner ear structures. A link between artificially selected alterations in pattern and specific color design with neural-crest associated developmental malformations of the statoacoustic organ as known from other vertebrates is discussed.

This article explores the correspondences and differences in terms of color design between two screen versions of Black Narcissus, a popular novel by Rumer Godden published in 1939. Conceptual approaches drawn upon include ideas of “the figural,” intertextuality and hybridity as central to understanding how Black Narcissus operates on many complex levels, arguing that color is a key expressive mode in their articulation. Powell and Pressburger’s 1947 film and a 2020 television mini-series directed by Charlotte Bruus Christensen are for the first time compared in relation to landscape and the natural environment; interior spaces; costume; race. The texts’ experimentation with color, lighting and diffusion enables boundaries between exterior and interior spaces, as well as between characters’ memories and repressed desires, to be problematized. As “end of empire” texts, the literary and screen iterations of Black Narcissus are related to postcolonial theories in which a series of hybrid, “in-between” spaces and cultural attitudes are explored.

The success and failure of color matching are directly related to work efficiency, sleep, personality and so on. Color matching course can not only cultivate students' creative thinking, but also improve their aesthetic ability and expression ability. This paper studies the teaching methods of art color design in Higher Education in the new era. Color matching course is an important part of the teaching and training of art design major, and it is also an essential basic skill for every environmental art student. Through the research on the meaning, types and characteristics of color, as well as the concept and category of color matching, combined with the experience and lessons in the teaching process, this paper demonstrates various teaching methods of indoor color design in practical teaching. The experimental research shows that the method proposed in this paper can improve the teaching efficiency of art color design.

The purpose of the study was to find out the antecedents of packaging of product and its impact on customer’s perception towards the purchase of perfumes. 250 questionnaires were distributed using convenient sampling technique. 179 properly filled questionnaires were returned forming a response rate of 71.6%.the results of the study revealed that packaging of product was found to have significant impact towards the perception of customers. The four factors of packaging i.e. color, design, material used and text and graphics used were also found to have significant impact on customer perception. Hence all the hypotheses of the study were accepted.

To achieve efficient and environmental reuse of waste ribbons, artworks reconstructed from waste ribbons for decorative occasions were inspired by the dedicated and determined people working against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and developed through a handmade and delicate strategy. With the theme of ‘Ordinary * Extraordinary,’ the artworks aim to convey endless positive energy and hope to people suffering from COVID-19. To fulfill the art reconstruction, the design idea, composition design and color design were comprehensively considered and carefully described. The artworks were applied for decoration in hospital wards and the home environment. Their composition and color gave medical workers, patients and ordinary people suffering from COVID-19 a sense of comfort and warmth. All positive energy from our artworks accompanied people and encouraged them never to give up and overcome COVID-19. The art reconstruction of waste ribbons proposed in this study may provide an excellent way for the reuse of waste ribbons. More importantly, it improves the added value of products and strengthens people's determination to overcome COVID-19.

Aiming at assisting the color design of cultural creative product and outputting color schemes that correspond to multi-user image preference effectively, an interactive color design method driven by group consensus was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the triangular fuzzy number was used to quantitatively descript users' image preference and a consensus degree model of group users' image preference was constructed. By studying the process and basic principles of interactive genetic algorithms, the interactive evolution operation for cultural creative product color design was then implemented based on the group consistency of decision-making combined with the triangular fuzzy number, which can help generate cultural creative product color schemes that satisfy group consensus and satisfaction. Next, the color aesthetic measure model was used to rank and select the final product color design schemes. Finally, taking the color design of terracotta warriors' statue as an example, it is verified that the proposed method can effectively integrate the image preference of group users, and assist designers to better conduct cultural creative product color design with the consistent results of multi-user decisions.

Purpose: Based on the Nippon Color & Design (NCD) system, this study aims to accurately discover the color preferences and image positioning of different female groups in China and, thus, to establish a color reference system, which is suitable for the packaging of beauty products. Methods: We first selected middle-aged women in the rural area of northern China as the studied group. Then, we conducted an extensive questionnaire survey on their color preferences focusing on their psychological characteristics and perception rules of emotional needs for colors. After that, we extracted colors from samples and classified them using the NCD system research method. Finally, we conducted a systematic analysis and verification to determine the color emotional preference of this group. Conclusion: We investigate the color preference of targeted customers to establish the image space of beauty product packaging. By applying SPSS for the factor analysis, we study the rural women in northern China, who are less concerned about fashion. We focus on the accurate positioning between the interaction of color, women, and environment throughout the color design process. We have conducted a series of comparative analyses of popular beauty products among the rural women. The results can accurately reflect the brand definition and positioning of color semantics and, thus, provide invaluable information for future beauty packaging designs and marketing promotion strategy.
