Mobile learning (ML) fosters engaging personalized learning where students can optimize their understanding and learning gratification via wireless mobile devices. Although there are studies conducted on the research trends on ML, not much studies were conducted on the cutting-edge researches pertaining to Collaborative ML. Collaborative ML is significant because it promotes active learning and cooperative skills. This paper aims to analyze the state-of-the-art research conducted in the span of five years for identifying the trends and focuses in Collaborative ML. The systematic literature review is conducted based on Knowledge Discovery Database model capitalizing data mining as the main research methodology. Findings were based on top ten Impact Factor Journals on Educational Technology indexed in the ISI Web of Knowledge. The SLR discovered ten main areas that were discussed pertaining to Collaborative ML which are Motivation, Students' Acceptance, Pedagogy, Assessment, Tools, Social Networking, Gaming, Knowledge Sharing, Special Needs and Communications.

This is a thematic meta-analysis of research trends in major mass communication journals during the 1980 to 1999 period. We analyzed study method, medium and area of focus, theoretical approach, funding source, and time period covered in research articles published in ten major mass communication journals during this twenty-year period. Predictions made about mass communication research in the 1990s were tested. We found that qualitative research methods continued to be much less common than quantitative methods throughout the period. Funding for research was relatively rare, with the university becoming the main source and private support decreasing significantly in the 1990s. The implications of such trends are discussed.

This study reveals educational technology research trends in Indonesia for the consecutive ten years (2011-2020). The analysis included co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation, and co-citation by finding the top authors, universities, journals, the most used keywords, and citation variables. The data was taken from the Web of Science. A total of 248 studies were found and then shrunk into 59 studies related to educational technology. The mapping analysis used VOSviewer to visualize the selected studies. It was concluded that the Nurkhamid had the highest numbers of citations, while publications from Yogyakarta State University were declared as the most-cited papers. In terms of the most-cited journals (citation analysis), the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology was named on it, and Computers & Education was the most-cited based on co-citation analysis. Based on the co-occurrence analysis, some of the terms, including education, technology, activity theory, English, and science, were enunciated as the most used keywords in the selected period. Further analysis was discussed herein.
