Usage of vaping and electronic cigarettes products is a growing trend among young adults, with rising rates worldwide. Such products are gaining popularity for many reasons including an alternative to smoking cigarettes, trying something new, or as a means to relax. While users may feel that these products are less harmful or a safer substitute to smoking traditional products, the side effect profile of vape inhalation has the potential for profound injury to the lung tissue and significant respiratory failure. We would like to present a case in which a young male who was evaluated at our Emergency department for acute onset respiratory failure subsequently requiring invasive mechanical ventilation in the setting of vaping associated lung injury (VALI). In the case report, we will highlight the patient’s clinical course as well as a summary of the current evidence surrounding evaluation, diagnosis and management of this emerging pathology. We want to emphasize the importance of a detailed history which should include the use of vaping products when a young patient presents with acute respiratory failure, allowing VALI to be in the differential diagnosis. Additionally, we want to compare the clinical presentation of VALI to that of COVID-19 pneumonia as they both have many similar attributes including symptoms and findings on lung imaging studies.

Menstruation is purely a natural process occurring in a woman’s body each month. It is the visible manifestation of cyclic uterine bleeding due to shedding of endometrium. Endometriosis is a common health problem for women. It is the occurrence of benign ectopic endometrial tissues outside the uterus. Ovarian endometrioma is the most common form of endometriosis. It increases the risk of ovarian cancer in reproductive age group among woman. Although most of the endometriomas are benign, some of them may undergo malignant changes. This is the case report of a 38 year old lady who presented with increased menstrual bleeding with excessive clots, dysmenorrhoea, burning micturition, and dyspareunia. On USG she was detected to have bilateral hydrosalpinx and ovarian endometrioma. Based on the clinical features presented by the patient amapachana, kaphapittasamana and vataanulomana mode of management was given. After six months of internal medications symptoms reduced considerably and there was no endometrial cysts and features of hydrosalpinx in USG.

Relapsing Polychondritis is a rare, multisystem autoimmune disease still of unknown origin, characterized by recurrent inflammation of the hyaline cartilages. The involvement of Laryngotracheal cartilages in polychondritis is one of the most serious known complications, observed in 50% of patientswith worse prognosis. Among the causesof death, laryngotracheal stenosis associated with pneumonia or severe respiratory failure stands out, and may be found in 10% to 50% of patients with the disorder. We describe a case of relapsing polychondritis in a female patient, with dyspnea as an initial manifestation, in which Grade III Cotton-Myer Laryngotracheal Stenosis was later confirmed. During the 10 years of investigation, clinical treatment stabilized the disease, but the respiratory distress persisted, which prompted the patient to be submittedto surgical correction of laryngotracheal stenosis.
