Lymphoepithelial cyst of the pancreas is a rare, non-malignant lesion with a good prognosis. It is filled with keratinized material, lined by squamous epithelium, and surrounded by lymphoid tissue. The imaging appearance of lymphoepithelial cyst varies and sometimes similar to other pancreatic lesions. Therefore, the preoperative imaging diagnosis of the lymphoepithelial cyst is difficult. We present a case of surgically diagnosed lymphoepithelial cyst of the pancreas focused on MR imaging features.

Ornidazole-induced encephalopathy (OIE) is seldom seen in the clinic. In this study, we report a new case of a patient who had taken 1,000 mg ornidazole daily for nearly 4 years because of suspected diarrhea and proctitis and presented with subacute symptoms such as unsteady gait, slurred speech, and psychiatric disorder. These symptoms were significantly relieved 3 days after the patient stopped taking ornidazole. When he took this medicine again, however, similar symptoms occurred 4 months later, which were again reduced after 4 days of drug discontinuation. After the second onset, abnormal signals were identified around the aqueduct of the midbrain, around the fourth ventricle, and in the dentate nuclei of the cerebellum bilaterally. After 9 days of drug discontinuation, lesions disappeared in the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) results. According to the clinical manifestations, imaging features, and the reduced symptoms after drug withdrawal, we clinically diagnosed the patient with OIE. This paper also reviews the literature on OIE. Only five cases (including our case) have been reported, all of whom presented with cerebellar ataxia and dysarthria and three with additional mental symptoms such as agitation and irritability. All five patients had abnormal lesions in the dentate nucleus of the cerebellum bilaterally, among whom four also had lesions in the corpus callosum and three around the periaqueduct of the midbrain. After withdrawal of ornidazole, the symptoms in all patients vanished or were alleviated, and three of them showed reduced or disappeared lesions in a head MRI reexamination. Overall, OIE has rarely been reported. Our case report and literature review show that the lesions in the cerebellum, corpus callosum, and brainstem can be reversed. The main manifestations of the lesions—cerebellar ataxia, dysarthria, and mental symptoms—quickly weaken or disappear after drug withdrawal, with good prognosis. Nevertheless, clear pathogenesis has yet to be further investigated.

Gestroduodenal lymphoma are very rare and with small number of written scientific papers published. They can be found within chronic gastritis as mucose associated lymphoid tissue - MALT. MALT lesions are associated with Helicobacter Pylori infections. Misadraji first described case of primary duodenal lymphoma folikularnog in 1995. Since then, several studies suggested that MALT lymphoma is viewed as a separate clinical - pathological entity due to its localization, the nature of the disease and good prognosis. In this case report, authors presented duodenal MALT lymphoma in 70 year old patient in which was preoperatively diagnosed duodenal cancer. Cephalic duodenopancreatictomy was performed and pathohystological examination was conducted. Results was MALT lymphoma. In establishing the final diagnosis of duodenal MALT lymphoma should be used histochemical and immunostaining analysis.

Abstract Renal oncocytoma is an infrequently reported renal neoplasm, often asymptomatic, which usually behaves as a benign entity and is identified accidentally on radiological imaging. Transplant patients under long-term immunosuppressive drugs have a high prevalence of cancers, such as skin cancers, lymphoproliferative disorders, and renal carcinomas. We present a case report of an asymptomatic renal oncocytoma in a kidney transplant recipient presenting persistent hematuria. The features of computed tomography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) are presented. This was the first time we used CEUS in a transplant kidney recipient presenting a renal mass, allowing the real-time visualization of contrast-enhancement patterns during all vascular phases for the differential diagnosis of renal tumors. Although the pattern of intense vascularization could mislead to an early judgment as a malignant lesion, it could help to exclude other renal lesions without inducing nephrotoxicity.

Introduction: Cervical pneumatocyst is an important entity that has been rarely reported in the literature. Less than 20 cases have been reported in the English literature. This entity is an important differential consideration when evaluating cervical spine lesions. The purpose of our study is to characterize the imaging features of cervical pneumatocysts. Methods: We report a case of a cervical pneumatocyst in a 51-year-old female patient, which mimicked a sclerotic lesion on magnetic resonance evaluation. Additionally, a dedicated literature review was performed evaluating the location, signal alterations, and imaging characteristics of 16 cervical pneumatocysts. Results: Fifteen of the sixteen cases in the cervical spine were found in the vertebral body. One case was identified in the lateral mass of the cervical spine. Two pneumatocysts were identified in C4, eight in C5, four in C6, and one in C7. Nine of the sixteen cases demonstrated disruption of the endplate with likely communication with either the spinal canal or intravertebral disc, with the remaining seven cases appearing isolated from the vertebral body. Conclusions: Cervical pneumatocysts are benign lesions that do not require urgent treatment. Based on their imaging appearance alone, they can be differentiated from more serious lesions such as neoplasms or osteomyelitis.
