Recently, environmental degradation has become a global issue, and a green supply chain has been considered as the appropriate solution for it. Also, this issue gets the intentions of recent researchers. Thus, the current article aims to examine the impact of green supply chain practices such as green purchase, internal environmental management, and customer environmental cooperation on environment performance in Bahrain. The goal also includes examining the moderating role of green innovation among the nexus of green purchase, internal environmental management, customer environmental cooperation, and environmental performance in Bahrain. The primary data collection method has been executed by the study and collected data by using questionnaires. The employees of the supply chain department of the hydrocarbon industry in Bahrain are the respondents. The statistical results show that green purchase, internal environmental management and customer environmental cooperation have positive relationships with environmental performance. The outcomes also exposed that green innovation has played an influential moderating role among the nexus of green purchase, internal environmental management, customer environmental cooperation, and environmental performance in Bahrain. These findings provide guidelines to the regulators that they should develop effective policies related to the implementation of supply chain practices that improve environmental performance.

The environmental issues are growing over time, and green supply chain is considered as the essential element to improve the environment around the globe and attain the focus of recent researchers. Thus, the current study purpose is to examine the influence of green supply chain dimensions such as eco-design, green purchasing and internal environmental management on the environmental performance of government organization in Turkey. The goals also include the examination of the mediating role of organizational support among the nexus of eco-design, green purchasing, internal environmental management and environmental performance of government organization in Turkey. The data were gathered with the help of survey questionnaires from the supply chain activities related employees of government organizations, while AMOS has been employed for analysis purpose. The results revealed that green supply chain dimensions such as eco-design, green purchasing and internal environmental management have a positive association with the environmental performance of government organization in Turkey. The results also exposed that organizational support positively mediates among the nexus of green supply chain dimensions such as eco-design, green purchasing and internal environmental management and environmental performance of government organization in Turkey. These findings are suitable for the new researchers who want to examine this area in future along with the regulators who want to develop the policies related to the environmental performance that could enhance the economic growth around the globe.

PurposeThis research scrutinizes the connection between green human resources management (GHRM) and environmental performance (EP) through mediating role of green supply chain management (GSCM).Design/methodology/approachThe conceptual prototype developed in this research was originated from familiarized literature review on the connection between EP, GSCM and GHRM. Moreover, this research employed a quantitative approach through conducting interviews and questionnaires for statistics assortment from the following entities: chief executes, general managers, directors, human resource managers, logistics managers, operation managers and supply chain managers in the manufacturing sector in Pakistan. The partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was considered for statistical exploration by accepting 269 useable responses.FindingsThe research asserts significant encouragement of GHRM and GSCM on EP. Moreover, GSCM arbitrates significantly between GHRM and EP.Research limitations/implicationsThis research recommends policies to manufacturing concerns that they should work to stabilize ecological sustainability by developing maximum GHRM and GSCM.Originality/valueThis research comes up with an innovative variables structure which has never been adopted before in the manufacturing area of Punjab in Pakistan.

The aspects of sustainability and ecology have gradually become matters of significant concern within supply chain management processes. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of the green supply chain on the environment and on operational performance. This study considers environmental management practices within firms, sustainable supply chain management practices relating to suppliers and customers, and environmentally conscious product and process design, by adopting a case-study approach and focusing on four major firms. The findings of this study reveal that the companies applying green supply chain management achieve better environmental performance but at an extra cost. Meanwhile, green practices provide improved customer satisfaction and attraction for retailers, distributors, and authorities.

Nowadays, sustainable development has been introduced and integrated into production and operation management field through the concept of the green supply chain. Green regulations and principles have gained the interest of managers and practitioners in selecting innovative practices for suppliers and organisations. Accordingly, the present study aims to evaluate the relationship between a green supplier, green innovation, environmental performance, and competitive advantage in the cement industry, which is an important industry for Iran. This study is descriptive in nature and conducted based on correlation and structural equation modelling. Managers and experts of cement companies in Fars Province are selected as samples for the study. A questionnaire and Smart-PLS software were used as research tools. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant relationship between a green supplier, green innovations and environmental performance of an organisation, while there is a negative yet significant relationship between a green supplier, green innovations and environmental performance of an organisation. There is also a significant positive relationship between green innovation and environmental performance on one hand, and environmental performance and competitive advantage on the other.

Green supply chain management (GSCM), a cross-disciplinary field has grown during recent years with increasing interest from both academia and industry. GSCM considers emphasizing environmental issues in Traditional Supply Chain Management (TSCM). Due to the new trends in global warming, environmental sustainability has become a greater concern among the organizations and enterprises globally. This study will focus on green supply chain management practices in the presence of green innovation. Green innovation will improve organizational processes as well as products, which lead to economic and environmental performance. Different institutional actors are putting pressures to implement Green supply chain management practices. Population of this study is electronics industry in Pakistan. Sample size is 500 with cluster sampling technique. Data has been collected through a survey method based on the adopted questionnaire. The collected data will be tested through Cronbach Alpha, Descriptive Statistics, Pearson Correlation, Linear Regression, Moderated Regression, Multiple Logistic Regression and Hayes’s statistical tests to analyse the suggested research model. This study will enable organizations to implement green supply chain management practices to bear institutional pressure and move towards green innovation to enhance their economic and environmental performance that were never possible before this study.
