Cyanocobalmine is vitamin B12 which is widely used to treat or prevent deficiency (deficiency of vitamins) in various types of preparations. Cyanocobalmine in the 5th edition of Indonesian Pharmacopoeia literature can determine by UV-Vis Spectrophotometric method with water solvent. The purpose of this testing was to determine whether the levels of the active compound Cyanocobalamine from the 3 test parameters. In the description test where the sample tested is the same as the Cyanocobalamine specification, namely, crystal powder is dark red. Hot plate was used to determine drying shrinkage. Shrink drying was 2.25% - 2.75% from the ≤ 12% requirement. The determination of the levels of the active compound of Cyanocobalamine fulfills the requirements, namely 96% - 102.0%. The results of the assay showed that the average level of Cyanocobalamine from 4 samples was 96.02%, which met the standards set by the Pharmacopeia. Indonesia Edition V as a requirement for determining the levels of the active compound Cyanocobalamine.

Abstract A simple, rapid spectrophotometry method has been developed for direct determination of available phosphorus in fertilizers. Citrate and other organic materials are destroyed by dry ashing. The combined water and citrate extracts are diluted, a 5 ml aliquot is pipetted into a 25 ml Erlenmeyer flask, and 2 ml of ashing reagent (dilute HNO3, sucrose, and MgO) is added. During evaporation to dryness on a hot plate, nonorthophosphates are hydrolyzed to orthophosphates which react with Mg to form heat-stable compounds. During the subsequent ashing, phosphorus remains in the ortho form. Due to sucrose, the dry residue has a very porous structure and can be converted to a white ash in about 30 minutes in a pre-heated 550°C muffle. Color is developed with vanadomolybdic acid reagent. Absorbance is read on a spectrophotometer at 400 mμ.

Simple, rapid and sensitive extractive spectrophotometric method is presented for the determination of glibenclamide (Glb) based on the formation of ion-pair complex between the Glb and anionic dye, methyl orange (MO) at pH 4. The yellow colored complex formed was quantitatively extracted into dichloromethane and measured at 426 nm. The colored product obeyed Beer’s law in the concentration range of (0.5-40) μg.ml-1. The value of molar absorptivity obtained from Beer’s data was found to be 31122 L.mol-1.cm-1, Sandell’s sensitivity value was calculated to be 0.0159 μg.cm-2, while the limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were found to be 0.1086 and 0.3292 μg.ml-1, respectively. The stoichiometry of the complex created between the Glb and MO was 1:1 as determined via Job’s method of continuous variation and mole ratio method. The method was successfully applied for the analysis of pharmaceutical formulation.

Recent study was conducted to develop a simple UV spectrophotometric method to determine Phenytoin in bulk and injection form according to official requirement and validate as per ICH guidelines. λmax of Phenytoin was found 202 nm. Linearity existed perceived in the concentration assortment 2-8 μg/ml (r2 = 0.999) for the method. The method was validated pertaining to linearity, precision and accuracy studies, LOD and LOQ consistent with ICH guidelines. The existent method was establish to be simple, linear, precise, accurate as well as sensitive and can be applied for routine quality control enquiry for the analysis of Phenytoin in bulk and injection form.

The experimental laboratory-scale plant for the fatigue testing of samples with electrolytic coating were designed and constructed. Shows the kinematic scheme and considered the principle of the plant. The dependences for determination of test parameters and the method of testing samples with coatings under variable loads were obtained.
