Full mouth rehab is an extremely challenging procedure. It needs proper planning and thorough knowledge about the steps involved in the procedure. The patient’s occlusal plane has to be restored in harmony with the tmj and the prosthesis which is to be fabricated. An instrument called the “Occlusal plane analyzer” is used to assist the Prosthodontist in the development of an initial mandibular occlusal plane that is commensurate with the curve of Spee when posterior restorations are designed in diagnostic casts and later as an integral of definitive restorations as well as guidelines for the actual tooth preparations. After complete examination of the reported case, it was planned for full mouth rehabilitation. Pankeymann philosophy was planned to be used for rehabilitation. Bopa being one of the important steps as per the philosophy for restoration of mandibular posterior teeth, it was discussed in detail. The article demonstrates the making and use of a custom made broad rickocclusal plane analyser (bopa) on a semi adjustable articulator to determine the correct orientation of the occlusal plane. Key Words – clear acrylic guide, anterior survey point (A.S.P), posterior survey point (P.S.P), central survey point (C.S.P).

Crown fractures, framework fractures, and abutment screw loosening or screw fracture are examples of mechanical implant failures. Abutment screw loosening is a serious problem that can result in abutment screw fractures. This clinical report describes the production method of a custom-made abutment screwdriver piece for a patient with abutment screw loosening.

ABSTRACT Loss of tooth structure occurs due to caries, endodontic treatment, or fracture caused by trauma; restoring these teeth is difficult task for a clinician. Post and core is an option for teeth when excessive tooth structure is lost and teeth need to be restored with crown and bridge procedure. They can be prefabricated post with composite built up or a one-piece custom-made post. The custom-made cast metal post and core have disadvantage due to their color that imparts grayish hue to overlying ceramic restorations. Masking the metal core can enhance the esthetic of all ceramic restorations that are placed over the cast post and core. A case report is being presented where the metallic core was masked with ceramic built up on labial surface of metal core. How to cite this article Shah NP, Gaikwad AM, Ram SM, Nadgere JB. Masking Conventional Metallic Cast Post for Enhancing Esthetics. J Contemp Dent 2016;6(1):85-89.

We report the case of a 33 year-old woman who came to our attention with slowly enlarging exophytic masses of the palate, histologically characterized by sub-epithelial fibrous proliferation with packed collagen bundles and increased fibroblasts number. We describe the condition of idiopathic fibrous hyperplasia, its diagnosis and its surgical treatment, which in our case was carried out with the aid of a custom made thermal printed plaque used as a scaffold.

Loss of an eye or any body part has an intimidating and crippling effect on the psychosocial well-being of the patient. Although the artificial prosthesis cannot restore the function, it can highly improve the patient’s esthetics and help them regain their psychological confidence. Literature has advocated various rehabilitation modalities including empirical use of stock shells, modifying stock eyes, custom-made ocular prostheses, ocular implants, etc. A custom-made ocular prosthesis, among all the techniques, shows improved adaptation to tissue bed, distributes uniform pressure, provides a more esthetic and precise result, and is relatively cost-effective. This case report explores a relatively comprehensive method of custom ocular prosthesis fabrication for an ocular defect with a satisfactory outcome.
