To evaluate the health index of education systems in different countries, the is paper establishes a higher education system health index evaluation model through principal component analysis. Five relevant indicators of six countries were selected for principal component analysis. Through annual relevant data of universities in six different countries in the past ten years, we obtained three indicators that mainly affect the health index of higher education, Cumulative contribution rate reached 93.67%, namely, the proportion of education expenditure, the proportion of international students and the rate of higher education enrollment. Then based on the contribution rate of the three main indexes, we constructed a principal component comprehensive evaluation health index model and obtained the health index of the higher education system in six countries. Among them, India and Brazil have the lowest health index scores, respectively 0.4106 and 0.4183. Therefore, the higher education systems of India and Brazil have a lot of room for improvement. Based on the empirical results, we put forward targeted improvement plans and systems.

Making the test specimen of asphalt mixture, testing the parameters of specimen, such as bulk specific gravity, percentage of voids in aggregate, percent bitumen volume in asphalt mixtures, asphalt saturation, percent voids in coarse mineral aggregate, marshall stability, dynamic stability, marshall residual stability ratio, freeze-thaw splitting strength ratio. Based on the method of principal component analysis, the items of principal component and the contribution rate will be calculated. With the cumulative contribution rate of 90% for the standard, the principal components will be selected. Taking the contribution rate as the weighting, the comprehensive score will be calculated. The research shows that using the method of principal component analysis to comprehensively evaluate asphalt-mixture performance is workable.

This article uses the PCA method (Principal component analysis) to evaluate the level of corporate governance. PCA is used to analyze the correlation among 10 original indicators, and extract some principal components so that most of the information of the original indicators is extracted. The formulation of the index of corporate governance can be got by calculating the weight based on the variance contribution rate of the principal component, which can comprehensively evaluate corporate governance.

This report is a part of the results of the international project entitled “Studium in Osteuropa: Ausgewählte Aspekte (Analysen, Befunde)” conducted in the years 2013-2015 under supervision of Prof. Wilfried Schubarth and Dr Andreas Seidl from the Potsdam University, Department of Education Science, and Prof. Karsten Speck from the University of Oldenburg, Germany. The project was conducted jointly by representatives of academic centres from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia. Its general aim was a comparative analysis of the effects of implementation of Bologna Process directives into the higher education systems of the individual countries. The changes introduced into the higher education systems in the countries involved in the project were described and evaluated, discussed was in particular the problems of education of teachers at the university level. The following text is the result of the contribution of the Polish group participating in the project. The report will be presented in two parts. The first part is focused on the macro-societal context of transformations in the higher education system in Poland. The implementation of selected aspects of Bologna Process directives is described and supplemented by empirical comments. The second part deals with selected aspects of university level education of teachers, followed by a polemic against the assumptions and execution of the target transformations of higher education system.
