In this paper, some hybrid fixed point principles for the sum of two multi-valued operators in a Banach space are proved and they are further applied to a certain integral inclu- sion of mixed type for proving the existence results under mixed Lipschitz and Carath´eodory conditions.

We consider the problem of a double fixed point of pairs of continuous mappings defined on a convex closed bounded subset of a Banach space. It is shown that if one of the mappings is completely continuous and the other is continuous, then the property of the existence of fixed points is stable under contracting perturbations of the mappings. We obtain estimates for the distance from a given pair of points to double fixed points of perturbed mappings. We consider the problem of a fixed point of a completely continuous mapping on a convex closed bounded subset of a Banach space. It is shown that the property of the existence of a fixed point of a completely continuous map is stable under contracting perturbations. Estimates of the distance from a given point to a fixed point are obtained. As an application of the obtained results, the solvability of a difference equation of a special type is proved.

It is well known that nonexpansive mappings do not always have fixed points for bounded sets in Banach space. The purpose of this paper is to establish fixed point theorems of nonexpansive mappings for bounded sets in Banach spaces. We study the existence of fixed points for nonexpansive mappings in bounded sets, and we present the iterative process to approximate fixed points. Some examples are given to support our results.

AbstractIn this paper, we obtain some new existence theorems of the maximal and minimal fixed points for discontinuous increasing operators in C[I,E], where E is a Banach space. As applications, we consider the maximal and minimal solutions of nonlinear integro-differential equations with discontinuous terms in Banach spaces.

AbstractLet A be a subset of a Banach space E. A mapping T: A →A is called asymptoically semicontractive if there exists a mapping S: A×A→A and a sequence (kn) in [1, ∞] such that Tx=S(x, x) for all x ∈A while for each fixed x ∈A, S(., x) is asymptotically nonexpansive with sequence (kn) and S(x,.) is strongly compact. Among other things, it is proved that each asymptotically semicontractive self-mpping T of a closed bounded and convex subset A of a uniformly convex Banach space E which satisfies Opial's condition has a fixed point in A, provided s has a certain asymptoticregurity property.

LetAandBbe two nonempty subsets of a Banach spaceX. A mappingT:A∪B→A∪Bis said to be cyclic relatively nonexpansive ifT(A)⊆BandT(B)⊆AandTx-Ty≤x-yfor all (x,y)∈A×B. In this paper, we introduce a geometric notion of seminormal structure on a nonempty, bounded, closed, and convex pair of subsets of a Banach spaceX. It is shown that if (A,B) is a nonempty, weakly compact, and convex pair and (A,B) has seminormal structure, then a cyclic relatively nonexpansive mappingT:A∪B→A∪Bhas a fixed point. We also discuss stability of fixed points by using the geometric notion of seminormal structure. In the last section, we discuss sufficient conditions which ensure the existence of best proximity points for cyclic contractive type mappings.Erratum to “Seminormal Structure and Fixed Points of Cyclic Relatively Nonexpansive Mappings”

The purpose of this paper is to prove some fixed point results for mapping without continuity condition on Takahashi convex metric space as an application of synthetic approaches to fixed point problems of Angrisani and Clavelli. Our results are generalizations in Banach space of fixed point results proved by Kirk and Saliga, 2000; Ahmed and Zeyada, 2010.

A class of semilinear impulsive periodic systems with time-varying generating operators on Banach space is considered. Using impulsive periodic evolution operator given by us, theT0-periodicPC-mild solution is introduced and suitablePoincaréoperator is constructed. Showing the compactness ofPoincaréoperator and using a new generalized Gronwall inequality with mixed type integral operators given by us, we utilize Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem to prove the existence ofT0-periodicPC-mild solutions. Our method is an innovation and it is much different from methods of other papers. At last, an example is given for demonstration.

1. Let X be a Banach space. Then a self-mapping A of X is said to be nonexpansive provided that ‖AX − Ay‖≤‖X − y‖ holds for all x, y ∈ X. The class of nonexpansive mappings includes contraction mappings and is properly contained in the class of all continuous mappings. Keeping in view the fixed point theorems known for contraction mappings (e.g. Banach Contraction Principle) and also for continuous mappings (e.g. those of Brouwer, Schauderand Tychonoff), it seems desirable to obtain fixed point theorems for nonexpansive mappings defined on subsets with conditions weaker than compactness and convexity. Hypotheses of compactness was relaxed byBrowder [2] and Kirk [9] whereas Dotson [3] was able to relax both convexity and compactness by using the notion of so-called star-shaped subsets of a Banach space. On the other hand, Goebel and Zlotkiewicz [5] observed that the same result of Browder [2] canbe extended to mappings with nonexpansive iterates. In [6], Goebel-Kirk-Shimi obtainedfixed point theorems for a new class of mappings which is much wider than those of nonexpansive mappings, and mappings studied by Kannan [8]. More recently, Shimi [12] used the fixed point theorem of Goebel-Kirk-Shimi [6] to discuss results for approximating fixed points in Banach spaces.

We study a class of nonlinear fractional integrodifferential equations withp-Laplacian operator in Banach space. Some new existence results are obtained via fixed point theorems for nonlocal boundary value problems of fractionalp-Laplacian equations. An illustrative example is also discussed.
