Higher education is considered as the part and parcel of education system. The Indian higher education system is getting better day by day. The Government of India while realizing the needs of today’s generations brought NPE 1986. To enhance the functioning of higher education, recommendation was given. Many recommendations were implemented but some areas were left behind. To fill this gape, the GOI again in 2016 brought another policy of education. The policy paid special importance to the areas where the previous policy was lacking. The policy gave much attention towards the areas where it was felt that a change is necessary. But many areas where emphasis was necessary were not mentioned. The paper analyses the recommendation of NPE 1986 and 2016 in the field of higher education. It makes a comparative study of the recommendations in various aspects of higher education.

In his Address to the Federal Assembly on January 15, 2020, the President of Russia set the task “to enable students after their second year to choose a new direction or program of study, including related professions”. Solving this problem requires transformation of the higher education system in Russia. Discussion has arisen in the educational community about the ways of this transformation. One of the possible options was the transfer of Russian education to the American Liberal Arts system. In order to verify the feasibility of using the Liberal Arts system for the training of engineers, a comparative study was carried out. As a result, it was concluded that proposals to replace the Russian system of higher education with the American Liberal Arts system for engineering education are not relevant, because the main basic goals and principles of building these systems coincide and the existing differences are due to the specifics of engineering activities.

After first surveying the development of academic studies of Islam within the modern Turkish higher education system, this essay provides an inventory of material that has been translated from Western languages into Turkish. It is inevitable that orientalist studies will have a place of tremendous importance in this analysis. However, approaches to the Qur'an and its exegesis which have been developed under the influence of the Western scientific and cultural world encompass a larger range of literature that includes not only the orientalist studies themselves but also the criticisms directed against these studies. Particular attention is paid to the work of Fazlur Rahman and Arab scholars influenced by Western methods, and an assessment of the various issues related to the critique of orientalist works is provided.
