Compound palmar ganglion, or chronic flexor tenosynovitis, most commonly of tuberculousorigin, is a rare extrapulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis (TB). The flexor synovialsheath is not a common site for TB but, once involved, causes rapid involvement of all flexortendons. We discuss the case of a 70-year-old farmer who presented to us with pain and progressive swelling of the palmar aspect of the wrist. On clinical examination, swelling both above and below the proximal wrist crease was found, with positive cross-fluctuation. Onultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging, features suggestive of compound palmarganglion were present. The patient underwent surgical resection (extensive tenosynovectomy)and chemotherapy. Post-operative histopatholgical findings correlated with the radiological features.

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The pulmonary form is more frequent, but other body structures may be affected. Pott's Disease is a rare entity and accounts for about 0.5% - 1% of extrapulmonary manifestation, especially in immunosuppressed patients. It occurs through reactivation of sites for the spine and sometimes lower limbs. The symptomatology presents itself through the triad: abscess, paraplegia and gibbosity, associated with the classic clinical picture of pulmonary TB: fever, night sweats and chills. The aim of this study is to demonstrate a case of Pott's disease in a 56-year-old female patient with a history of chemotherapy due to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. After treatment, the patient evolved with symptomatic improvement and good clinical outcome.

A clinical observation is presented of a patient with pulmonary sarcoidosis, who was diagnosed with kidney damage after three years with the development of chronic renal failure and the need for replacement therapy. A histological examination of the renal biopsy revealed a granulomatous process in the interstitial tissue, which was regarded as an extrapulmonary manifestation of sarcoidosis. Pulse therapy with glucocorticoids was prescribed and an attempt was made to reduce hemodialysis sessions.

Symptomatic myopathy is a very rare extrapulmonary manifestation of sarcoidosis that may not be readily recognised in the absence of a known history of sarcoid. Nodular myopathy is the most uncommon subtype of musclar sarcoidosis and, when encountered, establishing the diagnosis can be challenging. We present a case of symptomatic nodular myopathy as a first presentation of sarcoidosis in a young man who required a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose. The patient presented to our radiology department following a short period of flu-like illness and multiple soft tissue lesions. Biopsy of the lesions demonstrated noncaseating granulomata, and a diagnosis of sarcoidosis was established after important differential diagnoses were excluded. We present a literature review of sarcoid-related myopathy and the multimodality imaging characteristics of the different subtypes.
