Abstract The compound of (4-hydroxy-3-nitro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride) and the dopant material (4-hydroxy-m-benzene-disulfonic acid) were synthesized. The UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence spectra of the compound were recorded. The bathochromic shifts in absorption due to the changes in the solvent polarity was observed, in DMSO solvent, the compound shows different peaks, three bands in the UV region and one band in the visible region, one absorption peak at 402 nm, which might be attributed to the (ICT) band. The emission spectra of this compound were sensitive to the solvent polarity. They moved to lower energies with increasing the polarity of the solvent. The influence of the solvent polarity on the fluorescence maximum was more pronounced compared with the absorption maximum, showing ca. 3 nm red shift on moving from butanol to DMSO. The effect of the dopant material on the conductivities (ionic and specific) of the compound was studied, the ionic conductivity was increased as the weight of the dopant material increases, and the ionic conductivity (G) was measured in water as a solvent. the (G) of the compound was 2.4X10-6 Siemens at 0.01 gm of the dopant material, and was 2.62X10-4 Siemens after the dopant material was added (0.1 gm).

The interaction of methylene blue (MB) and acridine orange (AO) with poly(rA)-poly(rU) was studied using absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy methods. The absorption and fluorescence spectra of complexes of these ligands with a polynucleotide were obtained, similar to those of complexes of these ligands with double-stranded (ds-) DNA. It was revealed that the isosbestic point in the spectra of the AO-poly(rA)-poly(rU) and MB-poly(rA)-poly(rU) complexes is not formed, although the binding of AO and MB with ds-RNA by intercalation mode is not excluded.

Study on the interaction of DNA-specific ligands – classical intercalator acridine orange (AO) and groove binding compound Hoechst 33258 (H33258) with poly(rA)-poly(rU), being a model for double-stranded (ds-) RNA, has been carried out. The absorption and fluorescence spectra of the complexes of these ligands with ds-polynucleotide were obtained. It was revealed that the optic and fluorescent characteristics of the complexes of both ligands with ds-RNA are similar with those at the complex-formation with DNA.

Scholl reaction of ortho-phenylene-bridged cyclic pyrrole-thiophene hybrid hexamer exclusively gave a cyclophane-type compound of [5]heterohelicenes in 45% yield. The structure was unambiguously revealed by X-ray diffraction analysis. This helicenophane-type compound showed sharp absorption and fluorescence spectra, reflecting its rigid structure. The reaction path was analyzed on the basis of DFT calculations. The reaction path was analyzed on the basis of DFT calculations, and it was found that the formation of 8 is thermodynamically favored and further oxidation is prohibited due to the increased strain energy.

In this paper, the absorption and fluorescence spectra of Erythrosine dye laser liquid solution dissolved with acetone and ethanol solution were studied in different concentrations (10-3, 10-4, 10-4 M). The results showed an increase in absorption and fluorescence intensity by increasing polarity of the solvent. Some of the linear optical properties of the prepared models were also studied. The results showed an increase in the absorbance, linear refractive index, and linear absorption coefficient with an increase in solvent polarity and the molar concentration against a decrease in the permeability value, as well as the quantitative production efficiency was calculated based on the results of the absorption spectra and fluoridation. The Purpose of the search Study the effect of solvent polarity on both absorption and fluorescence spectra, and on linear and electrical optical properties. Keywords: Erythrosine Laser dye, absorption, fluorescence spectra and Polar solvents (acetone and ethanol).

Abstract In this paper, a system was designed to simulate the study and analyze the effect of chlorophyll on the underwater wireless optical communication system. Chlorophyll was extracted and characterized by measuring absorption and fluorescence spectra, the performance of system was observed by mixing various volumes added to water. The optical beam was modulated at different frequencies by the frequency shift key, once through clean water and once through water mixed with chlorophyll and different metrics such as received power (P r ), attenuation coefficient (α), peak-to-peak voltage (V p-p), voltage gain (A v ), and signal-to-noise ratio were measured to assess the performance of the system. The results refer that the system exhibits a good link quality to the received frequencies under different conditions.
