Challenges in management of Bartholin gland leiomyoma: a case report

Leiomyomas are uncommon vulvar neoplasms often misdiagnosed as other Bartholin gland pathology. We describe a case of accelerating growth of a vulvar mass, initially diagnosed as Bartholin cyst. Surgical excision led to a diagnosis of vulvar leiomyoma. Postoperative complications included secondary haematoma and dehiscence of the surgical site.

Recurrent Nodular Fasciitis of the Vulva

All vulvar malignancies comprise only 2% of vulvar lesions, since 98% of vulvar neoplasms are benign. Nodular Fasciitis of the vulva present a diagnostic dilemma due in part to the rare nature of these disorders and similarities malignant soft tissue tumors, so publishing descriptions of these entities are essential

An Unusual Case of Genital Lesion: A Vulvar Syringoma

Objective: Syringoma is a benign adnexal neoplasm of sweat gland, usually presenting as extra-genital lesions, while vulvar localization is rare. Moreover, syringoma is an uncommon vulvar neoplasms. Case report: A 44-year-old woman with previous diagnosis of duodenal gastrointestinal stromal tumour, underwent a local surgical excision for an isolated, painful, vulvar lesion. The specimen was submitted for histological examination. A vulvar syringoma was diagnosed. Conclusion: We describe this case according on its rarity and atypical presentation as well; therefore, vulvar neoplasms encompass many differential diagnoses, among which the incidence rate of syringoma is very low. Although its rarity, syringoma should be included among the differential diagnosis for vulvar neoplasm.
