Verruciform xanthoma is a specific but not so common, papillary growth typically occurring on the oral mucosa of middle-aged persons. It is a unique entity and has found to be incident in 0.025-0.05% of all cases reported as per the literature study. One such case of 75 days duration was successfully managed with complete local surgical excision. The surgical site was monitored for one year postoperatively with no signs of recurrence or other postoperative complications. Clinical perspective, histopathological highlights and differential interpretation is discussed in this article with an in-depth review of the literature. It is important to consider this rare entity in the differential diagnosis of lesions involving oral mucosa as its clinical and histological features overlap with several other lesions.

Mucoceles are benign pseudocystic lesions, whose main etiological factors are trauma and ductal obstruction, with the rupture of a duct in the salivary gland and leakage of mucin into the adjacent soft tissues. They are characterized by being asymptomatic and often present spontaneous rupture. Histologically, they are made up of a cystic wall devoid of epithelium, outlined by granulation tissue and inflammatory cells. Mucoceles usually present as dome-shaped mucous swellings, which can vary in size from 1 to 2 mm to a few centimeters, characterized as a floating lesion, although some may be firm on palpation. The evolution time reported for this lesion varies from a few days to several years, and the most common site of involvement for this phenomenon is the lower lip. Some mucoceles are self-limiting, with spontaneous rupture and scarring, however, many of these lesions are chronic in nature, and local surgical excision may be necessary. The aim of this study was report a clinical case of mucocele on the lower lip. The surgical removal of the mucocele proved to be an effective and safe technique in the case in question, enabling the histopathological diagnosis of the lesion.

Objective: Syringoma is a benign adnexal neoplasm of sweat gland, usually presenting as extra-genital lesions, while vulvar localization is rare. Moreover, syringoma is an uncommon vulvar neoplasms. Case report: A 44-year-old woman with previous diagnosis of duodenal gastrointestinal stromal tumour, underwent a local surgical excision for an isolated, painful, vulvar lesion. The specimen was submitted for histological examination. A vulvar syringoma was diagnosed. Conclusion: We describe this case according on its rarity and atypical presentation as well; therefore, vulvar neoplasms encompass many differential diagnoses, among which the incidence rate of syringoma is very low. Although its rarity, syringoma should be included among the differential diagnosis for vulvar neoplasm.

This report surveys the role of topical and intralesional agents in the management of in-transit melanoma. The extent and progression of in-transit disease is highly variable and many patients can have a protracted period of locoregional control. These agents are useful in the management of patients who have progressed beyond local surgical excision in whom more aggressive therapies, such as isolated limb infusion or use of talimogene laherparepvec, are not appropriate or have failed. In general, these agents are modestly effective and associated with frequent but only minor toxicity. As the mechanism of action of many of these agents includes initiation of a local immune response, combinations with immune checkpoint inhibitors are currently being explored.

Chondroid syringoma, is a benign neoplasm of sweat gland origin with an overall reported incidence of 0.01-0.098 percent. These tumours being rare can easily be misdiagnosed and should be included in the differential diagnosis of any slowly growing nodule in the skin of the face. The diagnosis is confirmed after histopathologic examination of tissue obtained by excisional biopsy. Treatment of choice is local surgical excision with a cuff of normal tissue, in order to prevent recurrence. We present a case of chondroid syringoma of the face (nasomaxillary groove), highlighting the rarity of the tumour and the surgical incision resulting in excellent cosmetic result.

Introduction: Leiomyomas are benign smooth muscle neoplasms that preferably affect the genitals, skin, and gastrointestinal tract, being rarely seen in the oral cavity. They re commonly classified into three microscopic patterns: solid leiomyoma, angioleiomyoma (ALM), and epithelioid leiomyoma. The most frequently reported sites of occurrence of oral ALM are the lip (48.6%), palate (21.1%), buccal mucosa and tongue (9.2%), and intraosseous lesions (8.3%).Case report: A 62 years old male presented a painless swelling in the left cheek. In this report histopathological and immunohistochemical analysis were made to confirm the diagnosis, since several lesions were possible. The treatment was local surgical excision of the tumor.

Mucoceles are nonneoplastic cystic lesions of major and minor salivary glands which result from the accumulation of mucus. These lesions are most commonly seen in children. Though usually these lesions can be treated by local surgical excision, in our case, to avoid intraoperative surgical complications like bleeding and edema and to enable better healing, excision was done using a diode laser in the wavelength of 940 nm.
