The problem of finding the optimal location of moving bodies in three-dimensional Euclidean space is considered. We study the problem of finding such a position for two given polytopes A and B at which the Hausdorff distance between them would be minimal. To solve it, the apparatus of convex and nonsmooth analysis is used, as well as methods of computational geometry. Iterative algorithms have been developed and justification has been made for the correctness of their work. A software package has been created, its work is illustrated with specific examples.

Abstract Various strategies are available to construct iteratively a common fixed point of nonexpansive operators by activating only a block of operators at each iteration. In the more challenging class of composite fixed point problems involving operators that do not share common fixed points, current methods require the activation of all the operators at each iteration, and the question of maintaining convergence while updating only blocks of operators is open. We propose a method that achieves this goal and analyze its asymptotic behavior. Weak, strong, and linear convergence results are established by exploiting a connection with the theory of concentrating arrays. Applications to several nonlinear and nonsmooth analysis problems are presented, ranging from monotone inclusions and inconsistent feasibility problems, to variational inequalities and minimization problems arising in data science.

Abstract The paper is devoted to a new kind of implicit obstacle problem given by a fractional Laplacian-type operator and a set-valued term, which is described by a generalized gradient. An existence theorem for the considered implicit obstacle problem is established, using a surjectivity theorem for set-valued mappings, Kluge’s fixed point principle and nonsmooth analysis.

Abstract In this paper we study implicit obstacle problems driven by a nonhomogenous differential operator, called double phase operator, and a multivalued term which is described by Clarke’s generalized gradient. Based on a surjectivity theorem for multivalued mappings, Kluge’s fixed point principle and tools from nonsmooth analysis, we prove the existence of at least one solution.

This paper addresses the synchronization issue for the drive-response fractional-order memristor‐based neural networks (FOMNNs) via state feedback control. To achieve the synchronization for considered drive-response FOMNNs, two feedback controllers are introduced. Then, by adopting nonsmooth analysis, fractional Lyapunov’s direct method, Young inequality, and fractional-order differential inclusions, several algebraic sufficient criteria are obtained for guaranteeing the synchronization of the drive-response FOMNNs. Lastly, for illustrating the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results, an example is given.

This text studies the fixed-time tracking consensus for nonlinear multiagent systems with disturbances. To make the fixed-time tracking consensus, the distributed control protocol based on the integral sliding mode control is proposed; meanwhile, the adjacent followers can be maintained in a limited sensing range. By using the nonsmooth analysis method, sufficient conditions for the fixed-time consensus together with the upper and lower bounds of convergence time are obtained. An example is given to illustrate the potential correctness of the main results.
