Ketidakseimbangan beban listrik 3φ, 50Hz, 380/220 V dari pasokan transformator dapat menyebabkan penurunan kinerja transformator, gangguan pada setiap penghantar fasa (R, S, T), dan timbulnya arus mengalir pada penghantar netral (Arus Netral) dan penghantar tanah (Arus Grounding). Arus yang mengalir pada penghantar netral dan grounding menyebabkan kerugian (losses) biaya arus netral dan arus grounding, sedangkan ketidakseimbangan beban pada setiap fasanya dapat menyebabkan kerugian biaya arus fasa dari transformator menuju beban. Penelitian ini adalah mengkaji seberapa besar kerugian akibat ketidakseimbangan beban dan kerugian kualitas (Quality Loss Function) pada jaringan listrik dari transformator ke beban. Metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan kerugian kualitas listrik pada ketidakseimbangan beban adalah Taguchi Loss Function, perhitungan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengetahui besar kerugian kualitas dengan adanya arus yang mengalir akibat ketidakseimbangan beban. Diperoleh besara biaya kerugian kualitas akibat ketidakseimbangan beban adalah Rp 97.690.717,31 per tahun dan total besar biaya kerugian (losses) listrik adalah Rp 104.729.414,40 per tahun

Abstract Meat quality is considered a complex concept depending on many characteristics that could be intrinsic or extrinsic. At the same time, intrinsic and extrinsic quality cues affect consumers’ purchasing decisions. The importance of each quality cue was analysed and discussed in previous literature. Thus, colour and level of marbling of fresh meat were defined as key quality cues at the point of meat purchase. These characteristics are mostly related to pork and beef. The aim of this study was to identify quality characteristics that most closely match the consumer’s preferences and at the same time could be related to quality losses. For that purpose, this paper gives a novel approach of the potential application of Taguchi loss function associated with quality characteristics and related losses for colour and level of marbling. This application can be implemented by providing a quality characteristic’s proper target values and limits, which would make the meat production process more consistent.

A proper monitoring of stochastic systems is the control charts of statistical process control and drift in characteristics of output may be due to one or several assignable causes. Although many research works have been done on the economic design of control charts with single assignable cause, the economic statistical design of T^2 control chart under Weibull shock model with multiple assignable causes and considering multivariate Taguchi loss function has not been presented yet. Using Taguchi loss function in the concept of quality control charts with economic and economic statistical design leads to better decisions in the industry. Based on the optimization of the average cost per unit of time and taking into account the different combination values of Weibull distribution parameters, optimal design values ??of sample size, sampling interval and control limit coefficient were derived and calculated. Then the cost models under non-uniform and uniform sampling scheme were compared. The results revealed that the model under multiple assignable causes with Taguchi loss function has a lower cost than single assignable cause model and integrated model with non-uniform sampling has a lower cost than that with uniform sampling.

ABSTRAK                                                                              Untuk mendapatkan bahan baku pada proses produksinya, pada umumnya industri bekerja sama dengan pemasok (supplier) bahan baku. Pemilihan supplier yang tepat dapat membantu kelancaran proses produksi dan membuat perusahaan mampu menghasilkan produk dengan kualitas baik yang sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen sehingga dapat meminimasi kerugian yang disebabkan oleh penyimpangan yang dilakukan oleh supplier. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan proses pemilihan supplier berdasarkan hasil evaluasi masing-masing supplier menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Taguchi Loss Function. AHP digunakan untuk mengetahui bobot masing-masing kriteria, sedangkan Taguchi Loss Function digunakan untuk menghitung kerugian yang disebabkan oleh penyimpangan-penyimpangan yang dilakukan oleh masing-masing supplier berdasarkan bobot kriteria yang telah dihitung menggunakan metode AHP. Kriteria yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu harga, kualitas, pengiriman, ketepatan jumlah barang, dan sistem pembayaran. Urutan bobot masing-masing kriteria yaitu 0,3838 untuk kriteria kualitas, 0,3009 untuk kriteria harga, 0,1408 untuk kriteria pengiriman, 0,0874 untuk kriteria ketepatan jumlah barang, dan 0,0871 untuk kriteria sistem pembayaran. Berdasarkan perhitungan Taguchi Loss Function diperoleh usulan prioritas pemilihan supplier bahan baku berdasarkan nilai kerugian terkecil.

PurposeThe objective of this paper is to compare and evaluate the environmental performance of steel supply chains considering relevant environmental loss factors using Taguchi loss function (TLF) and design of experiments (DOE).Design/methodology/approachThe different environmental loss factors in steel manufacturing supply chain were studied and the significant factors were identified. Their combined contributions along the significant factors were estimated using TLF and DOEs comparing environment losses at different scenarios.FindingsThe proposed methodology using TLF and DOEs was applied to three Indian steel manufacturing companies (Company A, Company B and Company C). The Company A with minimal average environmental loss score is found to be operating its supply chain with higher efficiency and has better environmental performance compared to the other two companies (B and C).Research limitations/implicationsThe results obtained are based on the study carried out in three Indian steel manufacturing companies. Therefore, the results cannot be generalized.Practical implicationsThis paper will definitely show the direction for comparative environmental performance assessment of manufacturing industries in general and steel industries in specific considering environmental loss factors and environmental conditions. It determines individual performance across each environmental loss factor and their combined impact.Originality/valueAlthough there is a need to have comparative performance analysis with respect to environmental losses among steel companies in developing countries such as India, but hardly any study has been reported in this direction. This work will definitely add the value to the supply chain literature in general and environment losses in steel manufacturing supply chain in specific.
