A di-sk tree is a rooted binary tree whose nodes are labeled by $\oplus$ or $\ominus$, and no node has the same label as its right child. The di-sk trees are in natural bijection with separable permutations. We construct a combinatorial bijection on di-sk trees proving  the two quintuples $(\mathrm{LMAX},\mathrm{LMIN},\mathrm{DESB},\mathsf{iar},\mathsf{comp})$ and $(\mathrm{LMAX},\mathrm{LMIN},\mathrm{DESB},\mathsf{comp},\mathsf{iar})$ have the same distribution over separable permutations. Here for a permutation $\pi$, $\mathrm{LMAX}(\pi)/\mathrm{LMIN}(\pi)$ is the set of values of the left-to-right maxima/minima of $\pi$ and $\mathrm{DESB}(\pi)$ is the set of descent bottoms of $\pi$, while $\mathsf{comp}(\pi)$ and $\mathsf{iar}(\pi)$ are respectively  the number of components of $\pi$ and the length of initial ascending run of $\pi$.  Interestingly, our bijection specializes to a bijection on $312$-avoiding permutations, which provides  (up to the classical Knuth–Richards bijection) an alternative approach to a result of Rubey (2016) that asserts the  two triples $(\mathrm{LMAX},\mathsf{iar},\mathsf{comp})$ and $(\mathrm{LMAX},\mathsf{comp},\mathsf{iar})$ are equidistributed  on $321$-avoiding permutations. Rubey's result is a symmetric extension of an equidistribution due to Adin–Bagno–Roichman, which implies the class of $321$-avoiding permutations with a prescribed number of components is Schur positive.  Some equidistribution results for various statistics concerning tree traversal are presented in the end.

Recent papers contributed revitalizing the study of the exceptional Jordan algebra $\mathfrak{h}_{3}(\mathbb{O})$ in its relations with the true Standard Model gauge group $\mathrm{G}_{SM}$. The absence of complex representations of $\mathrm{F}_{4}$ does not allow $\Aut\left(\mathfrak{h}_{3}(\mathbb{O})\right)$ to be a candidate for any Grand Unified Theories, but the automorphisms of the complexification of this algebra, i.e., $\mathfrak{h}_{3}^{\mathbb{C}}(\mathbb{O})$, are isomorphic to the compact form of $\mathrm{E}_{6}$ and similar constructions lead to the gauge group of the minimal left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model.

Among dark matter candidates are the Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs). Low-threshold detectors could directly detect dark matter by measuring the energy deposited by the particles. In this work, we examine the cross-section for the elastic scattering of WIMPs on nucleons, in the spin-dependent and spin-independent channels. WIMPs are taken as neutralinos in the context of the minimal super-symmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM). The dependence of the results with the adopted MSSM parameters is discussed.

The approximation accuracy of the wavelet spectral method for the fractional PDEs is sensitive to the order of the fractional derivative and the boundary condition of the PDEs. In order to overcome the shortcoming, an interval Shannon-Cosine wavelet based on the point-symmetric extension is constructed, and the corresponding spectral method on the fractional PDEs is proposed. In the research, a power function of cosine function is introduced to modulate Shannon function, which takes full advantage of the waveform of the Shannon function to ensure that many excellent properties can be satisfied such as the partition of unity, smoothness, and compact support. And the interpolative property of Shannon wavelet is held at the same time. Then, based on the point-symmetric extension and the general variational theory, an interval Shannon-Cosine wavelet is constructed. It is proved that the first derivative of the approximated function with this interval wavelet function is continuous. At last, the wavelet spectral method for the fractional PDEs is given by means of the interval Shannon-Cosine wavelet. By means of it, the condition number of the discrete matrix can be suppressed effectively. Compared with Shannon and Shannon-Gabor wavelet quasi-spectral methods, the novel scheme has stronger applicability to the shockwave appeared in the solution besides the higher numerical accuracy and efficiency.

AbstractThe notion of a symmetric extension extends the usual notion of forcing by identifying a particular class of names which forms an intermediate model of $ZF$ between the ground model and the generic extension, and often the axiom of choice fails in these models. Symmetric extensions are generally used to prove choiceless consistency results. We develop a framework for iterating symmetric extensions in order to construct new models of $ZF$. We show how to obtain some well-known and lesser-known results using this framework. Specifically, we discuss Kinna–Wagner principles and obtain some results related to their failure.
