High-level architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) are commonly used for the distributed system. However, HLA suffers from a resource allocation problem and to solve this issue, optimization of load balancing is required. Efficient load balancing can minimize the simulation time of HLA and this optimization can be done using the multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MOEA). Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) based on crowding distance (CD) is a popular MOEA method used to balance HLA load. In this research, the efficiency of MOPSO-CD is further improved by introducing the passive congregation (PC) method. Several simulation tests are done on this improved MOPSO-CD-PC method and the results showed that in terms of Coverage, Spacing, Non-dominated solutions and Inverted generational distance metrics, the MOPSO-CD-PC performed better than the previous MOPSO-CD algorithm. Hence, it can be a useful tool to optimize the load balancing problem in HLA.

The traditional Dead Reckoning algorithm predicts the future motion state based on a determined polynomial predictor, and the forecasting performance would vary with different types of motion entities. This paper proposes an enhanced dead reckoning algorithm based on hybrid extrapolation models, which can be used to reduce the communication in a distributed interactive simulation. The proposed algorithm perform extrapolation using a number of candidate predictors. Its idea is based on the assumption that a complex trajectory can be decomposed into several simple trajectories. The experimental evaluations show that the enhanced Dead Reckoning algorithm provides better performance in correction data reduction and accurate estimation.

The simulation results and the analysis of 3d body movement is still a difficult and hot issue. Although domestic and international counterparts is in a human body movement simulation has some results but they really difficult to meet demand, because height of the complexity of the calculation, or the need to put heavy parameters. Study the hot topic of object-oriented simulation system simulation method, qualitative simulation, distributed interactive simulation, virtual simulation, the multimedia simulation, simulation based on virtual reality.

To solve the inherent safety problem puzzling the coal mining industry, analyzing the characteristic and the application of distributed interactive simulation based on high level architecture (DIS/HLA), a new method is proposed for developing coal mining industry inherent safety distributed interactive simulation adopting HLA technology. Researching the function and structure of the system, a simple coal mining industry inherent safety is modeled with HLA, the FOM and SOM are developed, and the math models are suggested. The results of the instance research show that HLA plays an important role in developing distributed interactive simulation of complicated distributed system and the method is valid to solve the problem puzzling coal mining industry. To the coal mining industry, the conclusions show that the simulation system with HLA plays an important role to identify the source of hazard, to make the measure for accident, and to improve the level of management.
