In this communication, integrated approach of solar chimney and borehole heat exchanger has been studied by using computational fluid dynamics software. It is observed that, the room temperature can be maintained at 25-30 °C, at 4.9 ACH with this integrated approach in both peak summer and winter conditions. The cooling and heating effects are evaluated as 4.73-5.55 kW at 40 °C in summer and 8.27-10.56 kW at 5 °C in winter. The SC-BHE integrated system approach produced 21-37 % higher heating effect than the BHE alone system. In cooling mode SC fitted after the room in fluid circuit and it produces the induce effect for air suction from BHE along the air blower. So, integrated approach is a feasible solution for building space conditioning.

Ni/Al2O3catalysts improved with different La contents were prepared by the conventional co-impregnation method and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), N2adsorption-desorption, H2temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR). Catalytic performances for CO2methanation under condition (CO2/H2=4.1:1, 1 atm) were discussed in detail. XRD result demonstrated that the addition of La was in favor of decreasing the Ni particle size and increasing the dispersion of Ni species. The H2-TPR showed that La can change the proportion of various Ni species and increase the content of easily reducible Ni species. These results indicate that La species induce effect, resulting in smaller particle size and weaker interaction between active components and the support, higher dispersions, and reducibility of active phases, ultimately improving catalytic activity of CO2methanation.

Thermal properties and phase behaviors of series of newly synthesized copolyacrylate esters with oligomeric-L-LA (OLLA) segments (DP = 10-40) and mesogens as side chains were characterized. The OLLAs prepared by ring opening polymerization of L-LA with active HO-group were modified to form polymerizable acrylate esters and then copolymerized with polymerizable mesogens. The thermal behaviors of these copolyacrylate esters were studied by DSC and POM measurements and phase structures by XRD measurements. The mesogens showed very good induce effect on the formation of layered structures. CD measurements were used to determine the helical structure and the optical rotation power of the side chain copolyacrylate esters.
