A frequency reconfigurable planar monopole antenna for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication terminal equipment is presented. The proposed antenna uses a meandered monopole, branch resonance and other techniques to make the antenna resonant in multiple frequency bands. The antenna is compact in size (115 mm × 55 mm × 0.8 mm) and has a longitudinal length less than one-tenth of the resonant wavelength (working at 1.79 GHz). The pin diode is designed between the planar meandered monopole antenna and branch. The current path of the high-frequency current on the antenna can be easily controlled by controlling the DC bias voltage of the diode, and the operating frequency of the antenna is switched between three frequency bands. The antenna is fed directly through a 50 Ω matched transmission line. The measured data of the antenna in the anechoic chamber show good consistency with simulation data. The radiation pattern of the antenna shows good omnidirectional characteristics and good frequency characteristics, with a maximum radiation gain of 13.6 dBi. Experimental results demonstrate that the antenna can meet the design requirements of 5G communication.

The performance of antenna has the conclusive influence to the performance of mobile communication terminal; one excellent-performance antenna can improve the communication quality of communication device greatly. With the developing of broadband wireless communication technology, the fourth generation mobile communication technology has advanced day after day, and will turn into practical soon. This article aim at the demand of the fourth generation mobile communication technologys standard of TD-LTE, combined with the fractal technology, photonic crystal texture and top loading technique, designing a fractal photonic crystal top loading antenna which can work in 2.6GHz frequency band, and make simulate analysis to the performance of antenna and make the sample of antenna to test. The result from simulation and test shows this antenna has a low return loss and the work bandwidth is big, which is suitable for the fourth generation mobile communications TD-LTE system.

This paper presents a new type of deaf-mute sign language recognition system by combining mobile communication platform and the mobile communication terminal equipment. The system can implement the vision-based sign language recognition and translation. A Standard Sign Language Database is established in this system. Multi-national and multi-language sign language recognition can be completed by the following training using the database. In order to improve the accuracy of the recognition of similar sign language, an improved HMM sign language recognition method is used in this paper. The angle information of sign language which can be achieved by the traditional data-glove is introduced in the system on the basis of visual methods, makes the system taking into account these two recognition technology. The system can be implemented in ordinary mobile terminal equipment. Low cost and popularity of sign language recognition device can be realized. The deaf-mutes communicate for barrier-free anytime and anywhere by the application.
