Polarization-sensitive hologram media based on matrices of polyvinyl pyrrolidone and gelatin are created, containing Lucifer Yellow and Coummarine 466. A multiplexed dynamic hologram of Denisyuk is recorded in a luminescent photoanisotropic gyrotropic material, using linearly polarized radiation of the laser LSR 405 NL-50 (= 405 nm). Using the method of polarization-luminescent holography, the photoanisotropic characteristics of the beam have been measured corresponding to the reconstructed imaginary image of the object field. The polarization spectra and photoluminescence intensity spectra of the reconstructed image were measured, depending on the composition of the recording medium. The possibility of multiplex recording has been demonstrated, as well as simultaneous observation of several images of an anisotropic-gyrotropic object encoded by different emission frequencies and / or polarization state. The combination of non-destructive polarization-luminescent holographic measurement method with other luminescent spectroscopic methods significantly expands the scope of this application by increasing dramatically the overall information content of the study.

Spatial modulation of laser emission controlled by the structure of excitation light field was demonstrated. A dye doped polymer film as an active medium was sandwiched between two laser mirrors forming a laser cell. The pumping was performed by an interference pattern formed with two mutually coherent beams of the second harmonic of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (532 nm) and located in the plane of the laser cell. The laser emission was observed normally on the plane of the cell. The cross section of the obtained laser emission was modulated in intensity with an interval between maximums depending on the period of the pumping interference pattern. Thus, the emitted light field qualitatively looks like diffraction from an elementary dynamic hologram, that is, a holographic diffraction grating.

Abstract Mass of macroscopic object is easily measured by a suitable balance. However, this approach becomes inapplicable if mass of microscopic object is to be determined. Alternative approach for mass measurement is based on using the micromechanical resonator as an inertial balance where oscillation frequency is shifted by small quantities of adsorbed mass. In this work we present experimental results of applying an adaptive interferometry technique based on dynamic hologram recorded in photorefractive CdTe crystal for measuring picogram mass adsorbed on micromechanical resonators with dimensions 215×40×15 μm3. It is also shown that the resonance micro-weighing system based on adaptive interferometer has potential for reducing the threshold of mass detection down to 10-17 g in the case of using a resonator with sub-micron dimensions
