The article attempts to evaluate Farley Mowat's People of the Deer in terms of style and stylistic perspectives. Mowat (1921- 2014) is a well-known Canadian author. In the usage of the language resource, he has exhibited an excellent degree of competency. His styles of writing were an autobiographical fashion. With regard to linguistic and literary styles, the study examined style and stylistic trends. The researcher suggests that the study would be helpful for the students of linguistics and literature in the future. This study will not provide a detailed description of all stylistic devices; rather, it will provide a picture of the traditional flouted as well as variations that Mowat has introduced. Style, Stylistics, Alliteration, Repetition, Collocation, and so on are all examples of major literary and linguistic stylistics.

It is often stated that the structure of a terminological data bank should be developed taking the user’s needs into account. Translation-oriented terminology is certainly no exception to this rule. The creator of a data bank for legal terminology should assess the specific problems typically found in legal translation as well as the use of terminological resources by legal translators. However , users’ needs and users’ behaviour are extensively investigated in specialised lexicography, but seem to be a rather under-researched area in terminology and termino graphy. By drawing on relevant lexicographic experience, some empirical observations on the terminological needs of LSP translators, and translationoriented terminography with particular reference to legal terminology, this study aims at developing a list of ‘questions’ (related to terminological problems), to which a legal translator should find answers in a properly constructed and reliable language resource.

This paper analyzes the semantics of verbs with the prefix “do-” and explains the adlativity feature based on the morpho-syntactically annotated corpus hrWaC and handcrafted verb valency frames. The work aims to automatically add all types of adlativity to Croatian verb valency lexicon. As a result, it was revealed that if a language resource encodes “do-” as the adlative prefix in Croatian as a source language, then the adlative meaning in the target language can be assumed as well. Using the valency frame transition rules for language pairs, it is possible to design matching verb valency frames in other languages and consequently describe each verb and its translation by semantic roles (agent, patient, direction-to, and goal) and by selectional restrictions.

For the benefit of marketing's worldwide academic community, not least this journal's high-end readership, a relatively new, specialized, marketing-focused organization of ascending impact merits formal introduction. The Marketing Accountability Standards Board (MASB), founded only in 2007, is a group of marketing academics, financial professionals, other business executives, and professional association representatives organized for and committed to improving the financial accountability of the corporate marketing function through enhanced performance measurement. That informational notice is one purpose of this communication. Then, the report segment per se outlines MASB's current initiatives in furtherance of the accountability aim, with special emphasis on one that may first appear a lesser function: creation of an official, authoritative marketing language dictionary. The endeavor's justification is that a common language as embodied in a good dictionary would benefit marketing theory and practice through improved communication, thereby enabling better accountability. Yet the ultimate reach of such a language resource should transcend any impact on financial accountability.
