ABSTRACK.  This study aims to determine the optimization of the science laboratory function through practical activities for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Sinjai Timur, Sinjai Regency. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research which will describe the results of measurements on the optimization of the functions of the science laboratory through practicum. The population of this study were all students of class VIII A of SMP Negeri 4 Sinjai Timur, Sinjai Regency, totaling 31 people with a distribution of 11 males and 20 females. The research instruments used were questionnaires, observations and document studies. The data obtained were then analyzed using data processing and data analysis. Based on data analysis that research on how to optimize the function of the science laboratory through student practicum activities, it was concluded that the implementation aspect of biology practicum learning showed that on average each questionnaire item given to students gave an answer category above 50% with categories strongly agree and agree and at aspects of laboratory utilization based on the questionnaires that researchers have distributed regarding optimizing the functions of the science laboratory through practical activities for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Sinjai Timur on average give answers strongly agree and agree with a percentage above 50%.

The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the effect of service quality on passenger satisfaction at PT Pelayaran Naisional Indonesia (PELNI) Jayapura City, 2) knowing the efforts made in improving service quality on passenger satisfaction at PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI) Jayapura City. This type of research uses quantitative methods. The total population for this study amounted to 424 people. The number of samples taken in this study was 30 people. Sampling was done using a random sampling method. Based on the author's results, it concerns the quality of passenger service at PT. The Indonesian National Shipping in the city of Jayapura, the quality of service provided to passengers/customers, both in terms of physical form, empathy, responsiveness, reliability and assurance so that the quality of service needs to be improved, and the company must pay attention to things that are considered important by customers who use the services of PT. Pelni, so that customers feel satisfied. Conclusion of passenger satisfaction at PT. The Indonesian National Voyage (PELNI) of Jayapura city has been accomplished well. This is evident from the respondent's answer to the answer category (yes) at the highest level as well. This means that with regard to passenger / customer satisfaction, it turns out that it has given the trust to passengers.

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data about the effect of the number of scale categories on the accuracy of the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale between those using a scale of three categories of answers and a scale of five categories of answers. This research uses a quantitative method of comparative study. The population in this study were all students of Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic High School) class XI IPA in North Jakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. Sampling was done by simple random sampling and there were 230 students from six public and private Madrasah Aliyah. The instruments used were tests and non-tests. The test instrument was in the form of a Mathematics learning achievement test and a non-test instrument in the form of a Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale. The research hypothesis was tested using a t-test. The results showed that the average standard error of estimating the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale using the five answer categories scale was lower than the scale of the three answer categories. The conclusion of the study is the predictive validity of the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale which uses a five-answer category scale that is more accurate in predicting mathematics learning outcomes.
