In 2017–18, the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei created a special installation addressing the refugee crisis in Prague. ‘Law of the Journey’ consisted of an enormous black inflatable raft, crowded with inflatable rubber people wearing lifejackets. Their human forms were clear, but they lacked faces. The raft hung from the ceiling at an angle, casting a dark shadow over a list of quotations from thinkers and writers, beginning and ending with two locals: Franz Kafka and Václav Havel. A few isolated rubber tubes floated on the concrete floor next to the raft, with rubber humans reaching out to be saved. The exhibit conveyed both the desperation of the migrants and the inadequacy of the response.

This article concerns the distribution of fire as light and heat source within the insula investigated by the ongoing Swedish Pompeii Project. Here the author suggests that fire installations as kitchens, ovens and baths were clustered in specific areas within this insula, and the installations were not efficiently used to heat the dwelling areas of the house. It is also proposed that the surfaces of the interior walls and floors of the Roman atrium house were polished in purpose to reflect and distribute light and, which is emphasised in the article, to soften the transition between brightly lit areas and areas in dark shadow. This contrast had to be eliminated for the human eye to adopt to the light conditions in the room and by that, to make the light as efficient as possible.

One feature of Nelson Mandela's legacy in South Africa is his concept of post-apartheid society as a cosmopolitan space. Sadly, recent developments in the country suggest a return to nativist and bigoted world views and cast a dark shadow over his legacy. There is an urgent necessity to review this aspect of Mandela's vision. In so doing, this paper highlights the ethical advantages of cosmopolitanism, and argues that what sets Mandela's cosmopolitanism apart from others is his emphasis on empathy. I therefore suggest that empathetic cosmopolitanism is a particularly South African worldview. In support of this idea of empathetic cosmopolitanism, I discuss such recent theories as 'incompleteness', 'multiple identity', and 'entanglement', suggested by South African thinkers, as registers of Mandela's global citizenship.

The development of cybercrime as a new form of crime in the cybersex world has been galvanized globally as a dark shadow of technological advances in the field of communication and information. because it allows for new forms of exploitation, new opportunities for criminal activity, and even new forms of crime. One of the cybercrime problems that is also very troubling and gets the attention of various circles, is the cybercrime problem in the field of decency. The research approach uses a normative juridical approach, the data consists of secondary data obtained through literature studies, and the data is analyzed analytically. Cybersex is a new form of adultery so clear legal arrangements are needed to be able to anticipate it. In addition to these penal efforts, non-penal (integral/systemic) should be put forward to overcome cybersex. Cybersex can be done by law enforcement with the positive laws that exist at this time by carrying out legal construction. Besides, the regulation by Positive Law of Indonesia is still spread in various laws and regulations and there are still some shortcomings so that in the future anticipatory policies of criminal law must be dating.
