Deploying Efficiently Modern Applications on Cloud

This study analyses some of the leading technologies for the construction and configuration of IT infrastructures to provide services to users. For modern applications, guaranteeing service continuity even in very high computational load or network problems is essential. Our configuration has among the main objectives of being highly available (HA) and horizontally scalable, that is, able to increase the computational resources that can be delivered when needed and reduce them when they are no longer necessary. Various architectural possibilities are analysed, and the central schemes used to tackle problems of this type are also described in terms of disaster recovery. The benefits offered by virtualisation technologies are highlighted and are bought with modern techniques for managing Docker containers that will be used to build the back-end of a sample infrastructure related to a use-case we have developed. In addition to this, an in-depth analysis is reported on the central autoscaling policies that can help manage high loads of requests from users to the services provided by the infrastructure. The results we have presented show an average response time of 21.7 milliseconds with a standard deviation of 76.3 milliseconds showing excellent responsiveness. Some peaks are associated with high-stress events for the infrastructure, but the response time does not exceed 2 seconds even in this case. The results of the considered use case studied for nine months are presented and discussed. In the study period, we improved the back-end configuration and defined the main metrics to deploy the web application efficiently.

EDUCATIONAL EXPENDITURE IN INDIA: AN ANALYSIS OF GOVERNMENT SCHEMES AND PROGRAMMES

The study concentrates on the educational expenditure in India with a prior attention to the schemes and programmes introduced by the central government. Free and compulsory education for children between 6 to 14 years is a mile stone in the education sector. The government has introduced several programmes for the inclusiveness of all sections in to the mainstream. The enrolment of marginalised section was mainly by the impact of the step taken by the central government. The study tried to give an analytical view of the extensiveness with respect to the money spent by the government to create a successive story in the field of education. Various programmes were introduced by the central government to ensure education for all. Different schemes are implemented with a unique objective to give a perfect platform for educating the people; especially it is shown in the field of higher education. Many of the students are a part of the central schemes to fulfil their dream career through scholarships and education loans provided by the government. A large number of marginalised community were attracted by the Scholarships and educational loans provided by the government. Perception of Spirituality among Substance Addicts with Incarceration Experience: A Phenomenological Study

This paper examines the role of spirituality in a recovery context by drawing on qualitative research conducted at a residential recovery community in North Wales, United Kingdom. The study aimed to examine perceptions of spirituality among exprisoners and people identifying as in recovery from addiction. The researchers explored ideas of “spiritual coping” and “spiritual wellbeing” in terms of meaning, purpose, connectedness, forgiveness, and peace in addiction treatment programs influenced by 12-Step models, for instance, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Also, this paper focuses on both spiritual counseling services shaped by pre-determined meanings and values and secondly, on individuals’ perceptions about spirituality through the language of desires, needs, and expectations. The data for this research produced from five semi-structured interviews with male individuals who had recovered from their addiction and had practised some custodial life. To discover the common context of different perceptions of the language spirituality, the data was coded by the first and second loop encodings from the data analysis methods used. The central schemes that appear as “Spirituality in Experiences, Spirituality in Values, Spirituality as Meaning/Purpose of Life, Spirituality as Attachment, Spirituality as Coping Mechanism” have been evaluated within the framework of the concept of spirituality. In the conclusion of this study, it was observed that spirituality was used as a coping mechanism for buffering the sensation of hopelessness and powerlessness often experienced by people in active addiction.

A low—storage Runge—Kutta OpenFOAM solver for compressible low—Mach number flows: aeroacoustic and thermo—fluid dynamic applications

A solver for compressible Navier–Stokes equations is presented in this paper. Low-storage RungeKutta schemes were adopted for time integration; on the other hand the finite volume approach available within OpenFOAM library has been adopted for space discretization. Kurganov-Noelle-Petrova approach was used for convective terms, while central schemes for diffusive ones. The aforementioned techniques were selected and tested in order to allow the possibility of solving a broad range of physical phenomena with particular emphasis to aeroacoustic and thermo-fluid dynamic problems. Indeed, that standard OpenFOAM solution techniques produce an unacceptable dissipation for acoustic phenomena computations. Non–reflective boundary treatment was also considered to avoid spurious numerical reflections. The reliability and the robustness of the solver is proved by computing several benchmarks. Lastly, the impact of the thermal boundary conditions on the sound propagation was analyzed.
