Text-to-Braille conversion as well as speech-to-Braille conversion are not available in combined form so far for the visually impaired, and there is tremendous need of a device that can look after this special class of people. The present chapter deals with a novel model that is designed to help both types of impaired people, be it visual problem or related with hearing. The proposal is itself unique and is also supported by experimental results available within the laboratory condition. This device will help people to read from text with their Braille language and will also help to convert the same form to audio signal. Since text and audio are the two main interfaces for any person to communicate with the external world apart from functionalities of sensory organs, the work has relevance. With the help of DANET, the same data, in text or speech form, can be accessed in more than one digital device simultaneously.

Zebrafish, Danio rerio belonging to the family Cyprinidae is one of the most important native ornamental model species used in fisheries research globally. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of sex ratio on the spawning of zebrafish and to observe the ovarian maturity in the laboratory condition. This experiment was conducted for 12 weeks in the glass aquaria (25×16×26 cm3 in size) and the zebrafish were reared in five different sex ratio treatments like -T1 (1m:1f), T2 (1m:2f), T3 (1m:3f), T4 (2m:1f) and T5 (3m:1f) and the fertilized eggs were collected daily from the aquaria. The results showed that mean number of eggs was found to be highest at T3 (821±67.11) and the average egg lay day interval was 1.9 days which significantly (p<0.05) differ from other treatments. These research findings will provide a guideline to small scale fish farmers, entrepreneurs and hatchery owners to develop the spawning of zebrafish in the laboratory settings with a little investment. It will also provide opportunities to construct zebrafish hatchery and produce commercially zebrafish fry in a large extent. Progressive Agriculture 32 (1): 78-83, 2021

This study was committed to examining the symbiotic efficacy difference between wild and mutant rhizobial isolates from lowlands of eastern Ethiopia around Babile, and at the same time to appreciate the enrichment effect of mutagenesis on restraint of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) nodulating rhizobia to Endmost Salinity and Outmost pH Circumstance. A total of 50 wild rhizobia isolate, and 8 mutant isolates; after mutagenesis were selected based on their ability to endure endmost salt and outmost pH circumstances at laboratory condition. All of the mutants were found to be symbiotically effective. Among the observed rhizobium isolates, wild isolates HUCR (3D, 3A), HUCR 2D, and mutant isolate HUCRM 2D showed the highest symbiotic efficacy. Only the mutant isolates HUCRM2D (tolerated 12% NaCl, and pH4 and pH12), HUCRM5C (tolerated 12% NaCl and pH 4), HUCRM3B (tolerated 12% NaCl) and HUCRM9C (tolerated 11% NaCl) were growing effectively at the point out utmost conditions. Therefore, based on their restraint to utmost conditions and symbiotic efficacy, the above mentioned wild and mutant rhizobia isolates were suggested as nominees for the future development of common bean biofertilizer that grown under endmost saline and outmost pH conditions.

Quality diet as food for raising freshwater snails under laboratory conditions has a significant effect on their growth and the number of egg clutches laid as well as on the size of the snail. Now a days, some innovative farmers of Bangladesh started snail culture within their fish farms in the view of producing snail to use as feed for their Prawn (Macrobrachiam rosenbergii), indigenous catfish (Clarius batrachus) farms, domestic duck farms and also as a protein supplement for preparing fish feed. From previous study we know that Bulinus nyassanus growth and survive rate was found well on locally formulated fish diet consisting of 30% crude protein with ingredients comprising fish meal, maize bran, rice bran, soya bean, wheat bran, hemicellulose (binder), vitamin premix and mineral premix.  But no such research has been done in case of apple snail. The present study was aimed to investigate the feed formulation preferred by Pila globosa species and their effects on survival and growth of these snails in laboratory condition. Three type of formulated feed viz., pellet feed, fish meal and 50% fish meal + 50% crusted khudipana were used for the experiment in high and low stocking density of baby snails. The present findings shown that the diets in order of preference based on their effects on growth and survival of snails were formulated pellet feed, fish meal and 50% fish meal+ 50% crushed khudipana. After rearing of 28 days, highest growth found 0.32g with 86.66% survival with formulated diet in 60nos/L stocking density and 0.35g with 90% survival with formulated diet in 30nos/L stocking density. It`s indicate that the snails reared on formulated pellet feed diets and lower stocking density gave better performance in terms of survival and mean growth rate than those reared on other diets.
