This chapter discusses the ongoing work around hybrid access and network convergence, with particular emphasis on recent works on ATSSS in 3GPP. Three main aspects are analyzed: policy enforcement, integration with 5G QoS framework, interaction with underlying multi-path transport protocol. The chapter also provides some preliminary testbed results showing the benefits of ATSSS in the management of multiple accesses analyzing some primary performance indicators such as achievable data rates, link utilization for aggregated traffic, and session setup latency. The chapter also provides some results by considering two examples of realization of ATSSS policies to avoid inefficiency in link utilization and to allow the fulfillment of data rate requirements.

This paper introduces a method of network status feedback and realization based on the analysis of big data. Firstly, millions of structured log of session related were converged to HDFS via Flume System. And then the data of session setup time and session success rate were acquired by Hive or Pig. The function of the two variables has been given by MATLAB. Finally, this function has been integrated in the bottom SDK. It can reflect the state of the network accurately, thus eliminating the anxiety state of users. It can well ease the tense mood of users who are waiting for the results coming from server. Obviously, this approach can improve the user experience.

PoC is a half-duplex PTT service using VoIP technology based on cellular network packet domain carrying. However PoC uses the standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to setup session. The standard SIP signaling is too long, which brings more setup delay and does not hold true the wireless communication network, so it must be cut. This paper researchs the method to reduce PoC session setup delay from SIP session cut. We achieve the testing results in the actual commercial network. The results shows that this method can effectivly shorten the PoC session setup delay.

Optimizing the transmission efficiency of data is becoming an indispensable job in voice radio communication system. IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) standardized Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), which categorize as a signaling protocol for management and maintenance of new multimedia IP-based services. Session setup delay is one of important index of it. In order to reduce SIP signaling delay, to begin with, we analyze and study the factors affecting the session setup delay from different points, and solve the problems in good ways. In the end of the article, we contrast five compression algorithms of SIP signaling.
