Density and population of bogor that keeps increasing will add the duty of government to provide more public means of mass. Transportation is a vital public facility. Public transport available in Bogor is a city transportation (public transportation) and buses. The existence of a number of public transportation totaling 3,412 units and 30 units of bus has been able to serve the needs of the community in transportation, but in terms of efficiency and comfort are still far from expected. Based on the results of Stated Preference regression models, we concluded that the most efficient mass transportation is city buses, and the most variable priority attribute passengers on a city bus is the bus occupancy, the bus waiting time efficiency, got a seat, bus convenience and cost/ bus rates. So the recommendation that we can give, the problem due to public transport in bogor can be solved by the means of mass transportation such as city buses. The Analysis of Service Quality Through Stated Preference Models and Rule-Based Classification

The analysis of quality of services is an important issue for the planning and the management of many businesses. The ability to address the demands and the relevant needs of the customers of a given service is crucial to determine its success in a competitive environment. Many quantitative tools in the areas of statistics and mathematical modeling have been designed and applied to serve this purpose. Here we consider an application of a well established statistical technique, the Stated Preference Models (SP), to identify from a sample of customers significant weights to attribute to different aspects of the service provided; such aspects may additively compose an overall satisfaction index. In addition such weighting system is applied to a larger set of customers and a comparison is made between the overall satisfaction identified by the SP index and the overall satisfaction directly declared by the customers. Such comparison is performed by two rule-based Classification systems, Decision Trees and the Logic Data Miner Lsquare. The results of these two tools help in identifying the differences between the two measurements from the structural point of view, and provide an improved interpretation of the results. The application considered is related to the customers of a large Italian Airport.

Consumer Preferences for Socially Responsible Production Attributes Across Food Products

This study examines consumer preferences for three socially responsible products: minimal-pesticide strawberries, fair-trade bananas, and milk from pasture-fed cows. In-person survey data were collected in four states. Understanding preferences for these characteristics is difficult because they may appeal to different individuals depending on their personal attitudes and values. To address this issue, health, environmental and other attitudes are measured based on survey questions. Responses to these questions are used to produce explanatory factor scores. Stated preference models, both with and without factor scores, are estimated to evaluate the relative strengths of consumer preferences and motivations to purchase these products.
