Electron–positron pair-production process is observed in polychromatic light oscillating electric fields. A quantum kinetic theory is presented to obtain the pair-production rate and the momentum information. Oscillating structures of the particle yield and the odd–even structure of the momentum–frequency spectrum are depicted. The roles of the phase factor and the frequency multiplication are analyzed. We find the odd–even structures are remained in the triple-frequency field.

A new death line for radio pulsars is presented in this paper within the framework of vacuum gap and inverse Compton scattering (ICS) induced pair production process. The 8.5s period pulsar PSR J2144-3933 is located above the death line without any additional assumptions. An “appearance line” instead of the so-called “Hubble line”, is also presented in this paper. Both of those two lines fit observations well.

We investigate the discovery potential for first generation leptoquarks at the LEP200 e+e- collider. We consider direct leptoquark searches using single leptoquark production via resolved photon contributions which offers a much higher kinematic limit than the more commonly considered leptoquark pair production process. Depending on the coupling strength of the leptoquark, search limits can be obtained to within a few GeV of [Formula: see text]. We also consider LQ limits that can be obtained from t-channel interferences effects in e+e-→ hadrons .
