With the development and introduction of technologies for the production of composite materials for construction purposes in Russia appeared composite flexible ties, anchors, fittings, etc. These materials and products are not fundamentally new and have previously been studied for use for reinforcing concrete or structural elements. However, for increasing the bearing capacity of stone structures as masonry meshes they were practically not used, while masonry mesh is one of the most demanded materials in construction. The article presents experimental studies of composite meshes of different types and performance technology used in masonry. Experimentally substantiated and normalized values of physical and mechanical characteristics of rods for composite polymer grids are obtained. The evaluation of efficiency of composite meshes in masonry is made, the values of crack forming and rupture loads are determined, the peculiarities of the stress-strain state of composite grids as flexible ties are revealed, the fields of application are formulated.

Cellular concretes cannot be reinforced as easily as traditional ones. Generally porous materials do not ensure sufficient bond of reinforcement; additionally, due to limited amount of aggregate, interlock between aggregate particles and reinforcement ribs is not satisfactory. The idea of reinforcement presented in the paper incorporates bi-directional composite reinforcing grids placed in tensile zone of the cellular concrete slab where transverse fibres are ensuring anchorage for fibres located in the main direction of stresses. The concept is based on geotechnical applications where grids are commonly used as soil stabilization, but the grids adopted in this solution are much stronger thanks to introduction of high strength fibres as composite reinforcement.

Fiber-glass composite reinforcement becomes increasingly popular in different spheres of industry and public economy. Unique technology of the reinforcement production allows receiving the high-quality construction material which complies with modern requirements of liability, quality and safety. Pavlivska Square in Kharkiv may serve as an example of efficient application of non-metallic composite reinforcement for the reinforcement of slabs on elastic cushion during the construction of which the composite grids SKS-100/100 manufactured by Ekipage Technological Group were used as the reinforcement units. Pavement slab reinforcement scheme (including the working draft) was elaborated by the specialists of the Building Constructions Department of O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy. The arrangement of the pavement slab of Pavlivska Square was conducted within the short period of time. Due to this, for the purpose of mounting the two-layer reinforcing cage of the slab, the workers of Ekipage Technological Group elaborated a new mounting method which allows the essential reduction of the performance time.
