Abstract. The meteorological situation has a significant impact on the propagation of ultrashort radio waves. Refractive index of the atmosphere N is the main radio-meteorological characteristic of UHW propagation. The calculation of N is given on the basis of meteorological data of the atmospheric-soil measuring complex located on the basis of the measuring station in the village. Sosnovo-Ozerskoe, Eravninsky District, Republic of Buryatia. The regional features of the behavior refractive index in Buryatia, Yakutia and Mongolia are considered. The comparison with similar studies carried out on the basis of meteorological data from 1958-1977 was made. Global climate changes did not have a significant impact on the radio meteorological situation in the region was revealed.

The work involves assessing of the marine current regime in the north west of the Black Sea, Midia Cape-Constanta area. The area of interest is chosen due its existing features, using marine currents data (direction and speed) within the CFD to determine the distribution of velocities and pressures. The study on the distribution of velocities and pressures, according to local hydro-meteorological characteristic elements, can be used for identifying the risk areas for navigation and existing hydro-technical construction industry. Modelling results using the CFD analysis shows the currents velocity values, pressures and turbulences of the investigated marine region. The model can be used in the analysis and the coastline changes as well as in risk assessment for hydraulic structures. Additional parameters into the model, such as the sea wave characteristics, aim to provide an indication of the potential hydro-dynamic power that is available at a determined location of interest.

Solar radiation is the best option and cost effective energy resources of this globe. Only a few stations are there in developing and under developed countries including Nepal to monitor solar radiation and sunshine hours to generate a rational and accurate solar energy database. In this study, daily global solar radiation, and ubiquitous meteorological data (temperature and relative humidity) rather than rarely available sunshine hours have been used for Biratnagar, Kathmandu, Pokhara and Jumla to derive regression constants and hence to develop an empirical model. The model estimated global solar radiation is found to be in close agreement with measured values of respective sites. The estimated values were compared with Angstrom-Prescott model and examined using the statistical tools. Thus, the linear regression technique can be used to develop model at any location in the world. The resultant model may then be used to estimate the missing data of solar radiation for the respective sites and also can be used to estimate global solar radiation for the locations of similar geographic and meteorological characteristic.
