Particular attention is paid to proper names (anthroponyms, toponyms, etc.), which have become the material for the formation of game titles in the print media. The purpose of the article is to determine the most productive class of proper nouns, as well as the most popular method for creating a game headline in the Russian printed edition “Kommersant” for 2019-2020.

The article is devoted to slangization, which is one of the most dynamic processes of the modern Russian language. Based on material of Russian print media, the reasons for introducing slang words into a journalistic style are examined, and the functions of such vocabulary in a newspaper are analyzed.

The article presents the results of a study conducted on the basis of journalistic texts of the most popular Russian Internet media, the purpose of which was to determine the nature and frequency of the use of dashes as punctuation marks. The article also describes modern trends in the optional use of dashes, which do not correspond to the generally accepted rules of punctuation of the Russian language.

Словесные ассоциации как лингвокультурный феномен

The aim of the article is to analyze verbal associations as a linguocultural phenomenon, taking into account the general and diverse features of the Slovak and Russian linguocultures. The analysis is based on the data of a free associative experiment with university students in the Slovak language environment and on the data of similar experiments in the Russian language environment, recorded in associative dictionaries, primarily in the “Russian Associative Thesaurus”, which is available online and regularly updated. In our article, we will try to show what place word associations in the associate ranks of the experiment participants fill in.

The article analyzes the illustrative work of Russian writers of the first quarter of the 19th century. Special attention is paid to the definition of the term "writer-artist", as well as to techniques for creating the image of a writer-Illustrator in a work of fiction. In conclusion, we draw a conclusion about the relationship between literature and painting (on the example of interpreting the creativity of word masters who create illustrations for their works), as well as about the unique communicative nature of the image of the writer-artist.

The article discusses the specifics of using quotes in the teacher's speech. Special attention is paid to the substantiation of the reproductive basis of the teacher's communicative practice and the professional nature of quoting (verbatim reproduction) of other people's statements in educational and speech situations. The paper also provides an overview of the genre varieties of quotations that are in demand in the teacher's speech activity.

The article brings arguments in favour of the ways of drama translation. Author analysed all available stage realisations of dramatic texts. On their example distinguished few ways of translation taking into account the translation techniques. Each of these ways was described and illustrated by relevant examples from world’s stages: Polish, Russian, Czech, Canadian etc. Author draw also attention to challenges faced by the translators.

The article presents an overview of the evolution of love as a communicative phenomenon, semantics of such concepts as love, love, passion; it is concluded that the stages of love communication have a special genre content and a typical set of situations. The analysis of genres and situations of human communication in its development is based on the interpretation of works of fiction. The article also substantiates the relevance of studying this phenomenon with students of Philology at University speech studies.
