Thermo Plastic Acrylic resin has an important role in the manufacture of spray paint, namely as a binder or binder. The resin in paint has a function as a film formation, has adhesion to the substrate as well as pigment binders and additives, so that to produce a spray paint with good quality mechanical properties, PT X must be selective in controlling the quality of the raw material for Thermo Plasic Acrylic Resin. The purpose of this study was to determine the problems faced by PT X related to the quality of Thermo Plastic Acrylic Resin raw materials, to identify the most dominant factors affecting the quality of these raw materials and to formulate the most appropriate solutions to be applied in improving the quality of these raw materials. This research uses observation, interview, and literature study methods. Sources of data came from stakeholders and quality control staff of PT X. This study used check sheets, histogram diagrams, u-control maps, and fishbone diagrams to complete the analysis process. From the test results of the Thermoplastic Acrylic Resin raw material, it is known that the factor that causes rejection is due to adhesion, namely 53.57%, gloss 33.33%, and dry touch 13.10%, all three of the total raw materials that are rejected when the raw material is applied in form paint and spray on the film plate. The most dominant cause of reject was poor adhesion, namely 53.57% of the total reject raw materials.

PT X is one of the manufacturing companies in Indonesia, which specializes in manufacturing molds and dies which offers products to the internal group and the domestic market. This study discusses the policy analysis of machine repair maintenance management using the RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) method approach at the PT X manufacturing company. Some of the problems that occur are sudden engine failure, which will cause over production. One machine that is considered critical is the CNC Wirecut K90 machine. With the application of using RCM it is expected to improve machine reliability through several systematic RCM implementations: system selection and information collection, defining system boundaries, system descriptions and function block diagrams, describing system functions and functional failures, compiling Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), composing Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), selection of actions. The new policy set by the Realibility Centered Maintenance (RCM) method consists of 14 failure modes that are resolved by time-directed (CD) and 6 failure modes that are overcome by run to failure (RTF). In the FMEA analysis, there are 4 components that most often fail to function, namely the electrode pin, wire guide, filter and contact fit. The determination of this component is based on the RPN value and data in the field. In the RCM analysis, the electrode pin, wie guide and contact fit components are included in the run to failure (RTF) treatment policy category. Meanwhile, the filter component is in the category of condition direction (CD) maintenance policy with an average failure rate of 29,951 days.

The opportunities for the national textile industry depend on the ability to compete with producers from other countries. Not only in the world market but also in the domestic market. This is indicated by the flood of imported textile products, especially from China, which offers low prices for their products. However, local textile products are still able to compete because they have better quality. PT. Sinar Pangjaya Mulia is an export-oriented textile company engaged in the manufacture of various types of fabrics with the main products being rayon, polyester and cotton fabrics. In carrying out its production, PT. Sinar Pangjaya Mulia is still unable to perform optimal forecasting and efficient production planning as the basis for carrying out production activities, so all planning in the company is carried out suddenly. This has caused problems in the production activities carried out by the company in determining the production, machines and time needed to fulfill demand. To overcome these conditions, the company must be able to compile a demand forecast and production planning as a statement regarding how much demand is in a certain period and when the production demand must be made. From the results of data processing, it can be seen that the demand for fabrics produced for these three product items is within the next one year. Demand in January 2012 was 106,277 kg of rayon, 41,586 kg of polyester cloth and 78,552 kg of cotton, while the production planning for January 2012 was 226,415 kg with an inventory value of 80,000 kg, so in the January 2012 period there were no additional hours. /working days.
