This paper seeks to understand the context in which the debates concerning Islamic economics are taking place. The author contends that in the absence of a democratic and free environment the discourses on Islamic economics are suffering from free and open discussions about the true essence of Islam and its implications in the socioeconomic arena. After discussing some of the limits of the discourses on Islamic economics, suc.h as a lack of common terminology and appropriate use of Qur'anic terms, the author advances his understanding of the Qur'anic approach to iman. The author argues that 'aql and hikrrui are the cornerstones of Islam and the two faculties that the Qur'an repeatedly invokes in order that humanity may understand Islamic laws and principles and fulfill its mandate of Allah's vicegerency. The paper concludes that the straight path is essentially a rational approach and invites the discourses on Islamic economics to rely more on 'aql and hikrrui in their contemplation.

The problem of the discrimination of people with disabilities remains being an urgent social problem. Misunderstanding of the meaning of this problem by others results in a situation when invalid’s level of life cannot be equal to a healthy person’s level of life. This article raises the issue of ableism in order to explore the idea of barrier-free environment integration. The results of a social survey are demonstrating a good level of respondent’s awareness concerning this problem and their will to participate in a discussion and taking of measures for the integration of a barrier-free environment with the intention to raise the invalid’s level of life.

The article is devoted to the issues related to the phenomenon of “aging society”. The relevance of creating a barrier-free environment for the elderly is dictated by the current demographic trend towards an increase in life expectancy, an increase in its quality. The number of centenarians with functional impairments (senile dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s) who require care at a qualitatively new level is increasing. Innovative form of organizing the leisure of the elderly «Kindergarten for the elderly people» is considered as one of the ways to solve the problem. Based on the data of a study conducted by the Federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education of the Far-Eastern state medical university of the Ministry of Health of Russia in 2020, identified the need to create a social institution «Kindergarten for the elderly people». The article notes the need for older people to adapt to the changing conditions of their life in the society saturated with gadgets and information.

This research aims to analyze the impact of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) as a rheological modifier of concentrated kaolin slurries in seawater at pH 8, which is characteristic of copper sulfide processing operations. The dispersion phenomenon was analyzed through chord length measurements using the focused beam reflectance measurement (FBRM) technique, complementing size distributions in unweighted and square-weighted modes. The reduction of the rheological properties was significant, decreasing from 231 Pa in a reagent-free environment to 80 Pa after the application of STPP. A frequency sweep in a linear viscoelastic regime indicated that by applying a characteristic dosage of 0.53 kg/t of STPP, the pulp before yielding increases its phase angle, which increases its liquid-like character. Measurements of the chord length verified the dispersion of particles, which showed an apparent increase in the proportion of fine particles and a reduction of the coarser aggregates when STPP was applied. Measurements of the zeta potential suggested that the high anionic charge of the reagent (pentavalent) increases the electrostatic repulsions between particles, overcoming the effect of cations in seawater. The results are relevant for the mining industry, especially when the deposits have high contents of complex gangues, such as clays, that increase the rheological properties. This increases the energy costs and water consumption needed for pumping the tailings from thickeners to the tailing storages facilities. The strategies that allow for the improvement of the fluidity and deformation of the tailings generate slack in order to maximize water recovery in the thickening stages.
