Using the method of adding morphological control agent-trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), a flower-like porphyrin-based metal organic framework can be prepared, which shows a good effect on the photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B.

HKUST-1 is a copper-based metal–organic framework (MOF). The HKUST-1/PMS/Vis system can effectively degrade RhB and MB but accomplish poor removal of AO7 and MR, which is attributed to the repulsion between surface charges.

Photoelectrochemical studies on a new Ti(iv)-based porous metal–organic framework (NTU-9, bandgap 1.72 eV) indicated that NTU-9 is a p-type semiconductor with visible-light-driven photoactivity.
