Heliostat is the key part of Solar Tower power station, which requires extremely high accuracy in use. But it’s sensitive to gust because of its light structure, so effect of wind load should be taken into account in design. Since structure of heliostat is unusual and different from common ones, experimental investigation on rigid heliostat model using technology of surface pressure mensuration to test 3-dimensional wind loads in wind tunnel was conducted. The paper illustrates distribution and characteristics of reflector’s mean and fluctuating wind pressure while wind direction angle varied from 0° to 180° and vertical angle varied from 0° to 90°. Moreover, a finite element model was constructed to perform calculation on wind-induced dynamic response. The results show that the wind load power spectral change rulers are influenced by longitudinal wind turbulence and vortex and are related with Strouhal number; the fluctuating wind pressures between face and back mainly appear positive correlation, and the correlation coefficients at longitudinal wind direction are smaller than those at lateral direction; the fluctuating wind pressures preferably agree with Gaussian distribution at smaller vertical angle and wind direction angle. The wind-induced response and its spectrums reveal that: when vertical angle is small, the background responsive values of reflector’s different parts are approximately similar; in addition, multi-phased resonant response occurring at the bottom. With the increase of , airflow separates at the near side and reunites at the other, as produces vortex which enhances dynamic response at the upper part.

Based on Hertz-Mindlin contact model in software EDEM by discrete element method, using linear vibrating screen 360 mm×600 mm, movement characteristics of particle group on sieve plate and law of particles going through sieve plate were studied in screening process of coal in certain conditions, which were as follows: dip angle was 0 °, amplitude was 5 mm, frequency was 11 Hz. The simulation test results show that there are important influences of vibration direction on screening process. And influence law of vibration direction on screening effect was revealed finally. The paper also gained mathematical model between particle group’s screening efficiency and vibration direction angle, and mathematical models of particles easy or hard to sieve and material between average movement speeds and vibration direction angle.

Based on the effects of stress wave propagation in larch (Larix gmelinii) wood, the propagation mechanism of stress wave was explored, and a theoretical model of the propagation velocity of stress waves in the three-dimensional space of wood was developed. The cross and longitudinal propagation velocities of stress wave were measured in larch wood under different moisture contents (46% to 87%, 56% to 96%, 20% to 62%, and 11% to 30%) in a laboratory setting. The relationships between the propagation velocity of stress waves and the direction angle or chord angle with different moisture contents were analyzed, and the three-dimensional regression models among four parameters were established. The analysis results indicated that under the same moisture content, stress wave velocity increased as the direction angle increased and decreased as chord angle increased, and the radial velocity was the largest. Under different moisture contents, stress wave velocity gradually decreased as moisture content increased, and the stress wave velocity was more noticeably affected by moisture content when moisture content was below the fiber saturation point (FSP, 30%). The nonlinear regression models of the direction angle, chord angle, moisture content, and the propagation velocity of stress wave fit the experiment data well (R2 ≥ 0.97).
