All papers published in this volume of IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. • Type of peer review: Single-blind • Conference submission management system: Conference Management System – confBay • Number of submissions received: 106 • Number of submissions sent for review: 87 • Number of submissions accepted: 70 • Acceptance Rate (Number of Submissions Accepted / Number of Submissions Received X 100): 66% • Average number of reviews per paper: 2 • Total number of reviewers involved: 242 • Any additional info on review process: The reviewers assigned have strong background related to the topics. The reviewers will read papers or case studies and provide the conference editor with detailed and useful comments. The questions editors ask reviewers: i. Does the article or case study say something original? Does it add to the body of knowledge? ii. If it is a case study, is this its first use? iii. If it’s research, is the design, methodology, theoretical approach and critical review sound? iv. Are the results well-presented and have they been correctly interpreted? Is the analysis sufficiently rigorous? v. Is the submission set in the context of the wider literature? vi. Are there sufficient relevant citations? vii. Are these well referenced and are other people's views credited? viii. Is the submission accurate? ix. Is any information missing or wrong? x. Does the title of the submission accurately reflect the contents? xi. How useful would the submission be to a professional or student? xii. Is it an example of “good practice”? xiii. If research-focused, could the study be replicated in other situations? A reviewer may recommend that the editor immediately accepts or rejects a submission, or they may request revisions. Once the authors have resubmitted their paper, it will be reassigned to the same reviewers to check whether their comments have been addressed. If sufficient improvements have been made, the paper will be accepted. If not, authors may be asked to perform multiple revisions or have that paper withdrawn. The authors will receive an email from the conference editor with the final decision. Once accepted, the paper will be processed by our in-house team. • Contact person for queries: Name: Dr. Zul-Atfi Ismail Affiliation: Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis Email: [email protected]
