The three-dimensional [Co3(OH)2(H2O)2(aptet)4] exhibits magnetic properties consistent with a ferrimagnetic chain with the non-compensating resultant moment of one Co(ii) per trinuclear Co(ii) subunit and ac magnetic susceptibility indicative of glassy-like magnetic behavior.

ABSTRACTCrystalline bismuthates Ba1−xKxBiO3 with x greater than 0.5 are obtained by a low temperature anodic electrocrystallization method in a potassium hydroxide molten flux. The x = 0.56 bismuthate crystal shows 8K superconductivity determined by AC magnetic susceptibility.

The crystal structures are reported for three heterometallic Ni2Ln and a Ni2Dy2 complex, using the Schiff base ligand 2-methoxy-6-[(E)-phenyliminomethyl] phenol. Detailed dc and ac magnetic susceptibility studies were reported for all the complexes. The complexes 3 and 4 shows frequency dependent out-of-phase susceptibility signals.
