Self-compacting concrete (SCC) has been widely used in engineering for improving the product quality and efficiency at the construction sites, enhancing the working conditions and the appearance of concrete. Workability is an important property of SCC. But none of a single method has been developed for evaluation workability of SCC efficiently. Aiming at the quality control of fresh SCC, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for evaluating workability of SCC was put forward and a case study was done by measuring slump, slump flow, L-box ratio, J-ring flow, bleeding and sieve segregation of fresh SCC in the present paper. Evaluation results indicated that fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method can give a quantitative evaluation of workability of SCC and it is convenient to establish an expert system for controlling the quality of fresh SCC by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.

Sustainable development is a hot issue under the current background of resources and environmental crises. In this paper, Liaocheng City's sustainable development level is evaluated by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. It is concluded that Liaocheng City's sustainable development level turned out to be moderate. The constraints of Liaocheng City's sustainable development are sustainable development awareness isn't formed and some problems are serious. Trains of thought include: strengthen sustainable development concept's understanding, strengthen capacity-building of improving sustainable development level and solve sustainable development practices' current problems.

This work, in view of the features of strong gas zone heterogeneity in Multi-Layer Sandstone Gas Reservoir (MLSGR), develops a methodology on Comprehensive Evaluation of Gas Zone (CEGZ). By using of the methodology, three grade gas zone classified score bounds were transformed from three grade field production capacity classified criteria by utilizing multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method in terms of analytical hierarchy process and comprehensive scores, and CEGZ of 13236 well-layers in Sebei MLSGR, Qaidam basin were fulfilled successfully, which lays the geologic foundations for subsequent balanced and fine exploitation of Sebei MLSGR, and validates the applicability and reliability of this methodology synchronously.

The real-time compaction quality evaluation of earth-rock dam plays a pivotal role in ensuring dam safety. However, the current real-time compaction quality evaluation only takes the physical properties of compacted dam materials into account, which fails to characterize whether their mechanical property meets the requirements of deformation and destruction, and no quantitative heterogeneity of real-time compaction quality is studied. This paper presents a comprehensive evaluation method to address these problems. First, based on on-site tests, real-time physical and mechanical indices are obtained. Next, the analytic hierarchy process, extended by the interval model (i-AHP) method, is introduced for real-time compaction quality evaluation considering both these indices, and the hybrid compaction index (HCI) is firstly proposed based on the i-AHP method. Finally, an improved geostatistical analysis method (i-GAM) is developed to quantify the real-time compaction quality heterogeneity. A case study of an earth-rock dam project in southwest China demonstrates the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method.
