An experimental study to determine the effect of Cu doping on structural properties of ZnO nanoparticle has been conducted. Zn1-xCuxO (CZO) were prepared by co-precipitation method by varying Cu concentration with x = 0.00, 0.10, 0.11 and 0.12. The structural properties of the CZO sample were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS), which consist of XANES (X-ray Absorption Near-Edge Spectroscopy) and EXAFS (Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure). XAS measurements were performed in the energy of Cu K-edge and Zn K-edge using synchrotron radiation at SLRI (Synchrotron Light Research Institute) in Thailand. Both Cu K-edge and Zn K-edge XANES spectra indicate that the oxidation states of Cu and Zn ions are 2+. Analysis of XRD data with refinement method using Rietica software confirms the presence of Cu as doping in ZnO host lattice with the crystallite size ranging between 26 and 44 nm. Moreover, it shows that the obtained CZO samples are polycrystalline with (002) predominant reflection and exhibit a hexagonal wurtzite structure.

The oxides adsorbent of NiO-ZnO/-Al2O3-SiO2 was prepared by co-precipitation method. SEM, XRD and BET studies were performed to understand the structural properties of the adsorbent. And the adsorbent can be used for the desulfurization of thiophene in n-hexane as model gasoline. Removal rate of thiophene increased with increasing reaction time. Removal rate of thiophene in equilibrium decreases with increasing the initial concentration of thiophene. The extent of adsorption in adsorbent increased with increasing the initial concentration of thiophene. The removal rate of thiophene increases with increasing reaction temperature, it showed that the desulfurization is a chemical process not a physical process.

Ni1-xFexO (x = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) samples were successfully synthesized by co-precipitation method. Room temperature structural properties were analyzed by PXRD studies and Rietveld profile refinement technique. The structural results revealed that the samples assigned by cubic symmetry with Fm3m space group. Effects of structural properties with respect to the Iron substitutions in NiO matrix was investigated. Charge density profiles of the prepared materials were also investigated by maximum entropy method. From MEM analysis, it found that the ionic nature of Ni-O bond decreased. The surface morphologies were determined by scanning electron microscopic (SEM) measurements.

This study evaluates the morphology and structural properties of Ni-Mg substituted Cobalt ferrite samples prepared through the co-precipitation method. The nominal composition of Co0.5Ni0.5−xMgx Fe2O4 in the range x = 0.1 have been synthesized and then were sintered at temperature 700 and 1000°C for 10 hour with a heating rate of 5°C/min. The prepared nano-ferrites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). XRD confirmed formation of single phase spinel ferrite with average crystalline size in the range of 40–120 nm. Further information about the structure and morphology of the nanoferrites was obtained from FESEM and results are in good agreement with XRD.
