CSP 1 affords higher enantioselectivity for analytes facilitating stronger π–π interaction, whereas CSP 2 is more pronounced for separation of enantiomers bearing more hydrophobic groups. 5-Nitronicotinoyl exhibited similar enantioseparation ability.
