The present paper deals with the estimation of the shape parameter α of Generalized Exponential GE (α, λ) distribution when the scale parameter λ is known, by using preliminary test single stage shrinkage (SSS) estimator when a prior knowledge available about the shape parameter as initial value due past experiences as well as optimal region R for accepting this prior knowledge.The Expressions for the Bias [B (.)], Mean Squared Error [MSE] and Relative Efficiency [R.Eff (.)] for the proposed estimator is derived.Numerical results about conduct of the considered estimator are discussed include study the mentioned expressions. The numerical results exhibit and put it in tables.Comparisons between the proposed estimator  withe classical estimator  as well as with some earlier studies were made to show the effect and usefulness of the considered estimator.

This paper deal with the estimation of the shape parameter (a) of Generalized Exponential (GE) distribution when the scale parameter (l) is known via preliminary test single stage shrinkage estimator (SSSE) when a prior knowledge (a0) a vailable about the shape parameter as initial value due past experiences as well as suitable region (R) for testing this prior knowledge. The Expression for the Bias, Mean squared error [MSE] and Relative Efficiency [R.Eff(×)] for the proposed estimator are derived. Numerical results about behavior of considered estimator are discussed via study the mentioned expressions. These numerical results displayed in annexed tables. Comparisons between the proposed estimator and the classical estimator as well as with some earlier studies were made to shown the effect and usefulness of the considered estimator.

The article refutes popular belief about the necessity to abolish the New Economic Policy (NEP) of the 1920s for the purpose of industrialization. It is shown that it started successfully under NEP although due to a number of reasons the efficiency of the investments was low. The abolishment of NEP was caused not by the necessity to accelerate the industrialization but by the wrong policy towards the agriculture that stopped the development of farms. The article analyzes the discussion about possible rates of the domestic capital formation. In the course of this discussion, the sensible approach to finding the optimal size of investments depending on their efficiency was offered. This approach is still relevant today.

Ice is a water that cooled below 0 °C and used for complement in drink. Ice can be found almost everywhere, including in the Wahid Hasyim Sempaja Roadside. From the preliminary test, obtained 5 samples ice cube were contaminated by Escherichia coli. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between hygiene and sanitation with presence of Eschericia coli in ice cube of home industry at Wahid Hasyim Roadside Samarinda. This research used quantitative with survey methode. The population in this study was all of the seller in 2nd Wahid Hasyim Roadside. Sample was taken by Krejcie and Morgan so the there were 44 samples and used Cluster Random Sampling. The instruments are questionnaries, observation and laboratory test. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate (using Fisher test p= 0.05). The conclusion of this study there are a relation between chosing raw material (p=0,03) and saving raw material (p=0,03) with presence of Eschericia coli. There was no relation between processing raw material into ice cube with presence of Eschericia coli (p=0,15).Advice that can be given to ice cube should maintain hygiene and sanitation of the selection, processing and storage of ice cube.
