Optimized active Ni–Co bimetallic phosphide are decorated on high conductive carbon nanotubes to serve as the efficient overall water splitting catalyst. Benefiting from cooperation between synergy effects and multi-level structure, NiCo2Px/CNTs is capable of constituting water electrolyzer used as both anode and cathode.
