The aim of this study was to formulate granisetron (GSN) in a new dosage form using natural substances and to improve pediatric patient compliance to achieve maximum drug efficacy. GSN is a 5HT3 receptor antagonist that used as prophylaxis for prevention of nausea and vomiting before radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This dosage form was selected because of sharing both the advantages of liquid and solid dosage forms. In this study, two types of natural jellifying agents have been used in different concentrations. The natural jellifying agents which have been used were gelatin and caragennan (CRG). The effect of jellifying agent and their concentrations have been investigated. Six formulations of (GSN) oral jellies were prepared by heat and congealing method and the prepared jellies were evaluated by measuring their pH, content uniformity, drug-polymer compatibility, syneresis, physical stability, general appearance and production yield. Among the prepared formulations, formulation F1 with 4.5% gelatin was considered the best one, since it gave the highest drug release 99.4% in 15 min with acceptance results for all other evaluation test.

The heed on natural medications and their usage have been expanding quickly as of late, even in regions where present day medication is accessible. Plant derived substances and herbal drugs ,recently attracted great interest towards their unique & vast applications. As medicinal herbs, have bioactive compounds in abundance & can be utilized in conventional and current medication. There has been an increasing demand for plant based medicines, health products, pharmaceuticals, food supplements. The Objective of this Study is to enlighten the various immune enhancing properties of ginseng & to deliver these immune strengthening properties of ginseng it has been formulated into a syrup dosage form. Formulation of syrup was designed by utilizing extracts of Panax Ginseng, Sucrose, Benzoin & required quantity of Distilled water. The prepared herbal syrup was evaluated for different physicochemical parameters like pH, color, odour, taste, density, specific gravity, viscosity and stability. A review of Panax ginseng chemical constituents present in various parts of Panax ginseng is given in the present article. This may be useful in discovering potential therapeutic effects & developing new formulations.

SummaryA new fibrin plate technic for evaluating components of the fibrinolytic system has been developed. It provides quick, accurate, and easily interpreted results for the fibrinolytic profile. The standardized human plasminogen-free fibrin plates can be produced in bulk and stored for prolonged periods of time. A test specimen placed in a well punched in the buffered agarose gel diffuses into the agar and lyses the fibrin clot, forming a clear reaction zone. The zone diameter is directly proportional to the log of the percent concentration of available fibrinolytic enzyme in the specimen. The plates may be used to quantitate total plasminogen, and estimate available plasmin and active plasmin. A good correlation between results obtained using these fibrin plates and caseinolytic methods was found. Performance and interpretation of tests of fibrinolysis done on these new fibrin plates indicate that it may be the most sensitive technic available for clinical laboratory work.
