In order to accurately analyze the bending vibration frequency of the new composite box girder, the effects of web folding effect, shear lag, and shear deformation are comprehensively considered in this paper, and the elastic control differential equation and natural boundary conditions of the composite box girder are established by using the Hamilton principle. A one-span composite box girder with corrugated steel webs is used as a numerical example. The effects of height span ratio, width span ratio, web thickness, cantilever plate length, and fold effect on the vertical vibration frequency of the new composite box girder are analyzed. The results show that the analytical solution is in good agreement with the finite element solution. When considering the shear lag and fold effect, the vibration frequency of composite box girder decreases. With the increase in order, the influence of shear lag and fold effect on its frequency becomes stronger. The changes of height span ratio and web thickness of composite box girder have a great influence on its folding effect, while the changes of width span ratio and cantilever plate length have little influence on it. The conclusion can provide a reference for the design of medium section new composite bridge in practical engineering.

Abstract: The PC box girder Bridge with corrugated steel web, as a new kind of bridge structure, has different mechanical properties from that of the ordinary concrete box girder bridge. Due to the late development of the corrugated steel web pre-stressed box girder structure, the domestic experts have made little research on the transverse load distribution of PC box Girder Bridge with corrugated steel webs. Whether the method of calculating the transverse distribution coefficient in the classical box girder theory can be applied to the corrugated steel web composite box girder and how to further improve the calculation theory and method of the transverse load distribution of the steel box girder bridge need urther study. method of the transverse load distribution of the steel box girder bridge need further study.Based on the "traditional rigid jointed process and the programming ideas of the transverse distribution coefficient of corrugated steel web composite box girder of the "modified rigid jointed beam method".beam method" and the existing research, this paper proposes the "modified rigid-jointed beam method" in combination with the specific internal force distribution of corrugated steel web composite box girder. The computational scheme and formula of mechanics, the calculation process and the programming ideas of the transverse distribution coefficient of corrugated steel web composite box girder of the "modified rigid jointed beam method".

Prestressed concrete (PC) girders with corrugated steel webs (CSWs) have received considerable attention in the past two decades due to their light self-weight and high prestressing efficiency. Most previous studies were focused on the static behavior of CSWs and simple beams with CSWs. The calculation of deflection is an important part in the static analysis of structures. However, very few studies have been conducted to investigate the deflection of full PC girders or bridges with CSWs and no simple formulas are available for estimating their deflection under static loads. In addition, experimental work on full-scale bridges or scale bridge models with CSWs is very limited. In this paper, a formula for calculating the deflection of PC box girders with CSWs is derived. The longitudinal displacement function of PC box girders with CSWs, which can consider the shear lag effect and shear deformation of CSWs, is first derived. Based on the longitudinal displacement function, the formula for predicting the deflection of PC box girders with CSWs is derived using the variational principle method. The accuracy of the derived formula is verified against experimental results from a scaled bridge model and the finite element analysis results. Parametric studies are also performed, and the influences of shear lag and shear deformation on the deflection of the box girder with CSWs are investigated by considering different width-to-span ratios and different girder heights. The present study provides an effective and efficient tool for determining the deflection of PC box girders with CSWs.

In the construction of prestressed concrete(PC) box-girder bridge with corrugated steel webs used cast-in-place cantilever method, the key component-corrugated steel webs are fabricated in factory first and then transported to the construction site. Because of the low out-of plane stiffness, corrugated steel webs are easy to deform in the construction, which brings many difficulties for construction. The precision of installing the corrugated steel web has a direct effect on the cross-section shape of the box-girder. So it is a key step to monitor the orientation and installation of corrugated steel web during construction. Based on the experience of some PC box-girder bridges with corrugated steel webs having been built, a method to control the installation accuracy of corrugated steel webs is proposed and some quality assurance measures are introduced in order to ensure the accuracy, reliability and security of the installation of corrugated steel web. The method can be taken as a reference in the construction of this kind of bridge.
